Hello?
Kelsie (:I think we're a little bit bothered.
Nicole (:That's my favorite part. Hi. hi. We're here.
Ashley (:Welcome back, everybody.
Kelsie (:Hello.
Monica (:I know we're all exhausted, but I'm also excited to be back because I've missed you guys.
Kelsie (:We took a week off and now we don't know how to do this.
Nicole (:I missed you too! Yeah. Yeah.
Ashley (:I missed you guys too. Yeah. I missed the intro. It was like exciting all over again because we didn't record last week, I guess. So it was like, woo.
Monica (:Mwahaha
Nicole (:It really was. Nope. Got me all jazzed. Yep. me all jazzed.
Monica (:Yeah. Here it is all over again.
Ashley (:Yeah.
should we say our names? I'm Ashley.
Kelsie (:I'm Kelsey.
Monica (:I'm Monica.
Nicole (:I'm Nicole. Hi guys. Hello. It's us. We're here. We are. We forgot. We also just like, we also just like ghosted the whole podcast. We didn't even say that we were taking a wake up.
Ashley (:I forgot. Wow, yeah, see, we're a little rusty. Literally.
Monica (:That's true. We are out of it. Take one week off and we don't know what we're doing. But we also never knew what we were doing,
Kelsie (:Like I said, we forgot. We forgot how to do this.
Ashley (:Okay, I was gonna say that. I was gonna say that. Listen, literally, yeah, our listeners didn't know. Our listeners didn't know we were taking the week off. Dakota said she looked on YouTube and it wasn't on YouTube and she's like, sometimes it like doesn't upload right away. So she searched it on like Spotify and stuff too. And she's like, I couldn't find it. I was like, my God, we should have said something like.
Monica (:Sorry guys, we thought of you kind of, but...
I love Dakota.
Kelsie (:It crossed my mind at one point to put it on social media and then I forgot and it never came back into my head again.
Monica (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Me too. Same. Same.
Monica (:I thought about it several times actually, but like this entire last week has been such a shit show of just like so much stuff happening. There was like, we'll get to it. We'll get to it. Then we didn't.
Ashley (:chaos.
Nicole (:Okay, yeah, to be honest, to be honest, we didn't know that we were gonna take the recording day off either. It just kinda happened on a whim. Yeah, like until day of and we were like, this actually doesn't work for any of us. And we're not gonna post on Thanksgiving anyway, so we might as well just not. So, sorry guys.
Monica (:until like Sunday.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Monica (:Yeah.
Ashley (:The stress and chaos of the holidays is here. Like it is fully upon us.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Monica (:Yes.
Nicole (:It's here, it's here. And be expected like for us to take more breaks obviously around the holidays. We will try to let you know next time though. We'll try to be better about planning it out and letting you know. So sorry. Yes.
Monica (:We're figuring out the details.
Ashley (:Yes.
Kelsie (:We do know we're coming towards the end of our season one, but we haven't decided when exactly the official end of season one will be, but we will be better about telling you this time.
Nicole (:Correct. Keep you guys updated a little better. We're still figuring this out. We trial by fire this entire podcast, okay? So just bear with us.
Monica (:You
Ashley (:Less of a surprise. Yeah.
Monica (:That's true. But I do love the people who looking for it.
Ashley (:Well, was that was our fist or I know, I know. That was the first that this is what's been happening to me all week. I literally can't talk. That was the first missed Friday, Thursday. Fuck Thursday, right? That was the first one we've missed since we started. Yeah, that's that's pretty crazy. That's pretty good.
Nicole (:That was our that was our fist. What?
Yes, yes. Yep. Yep. Yeah. That is pretty good, honestly. And it was the holiday, so I kind of didn't expect... I didn't expect anybody to expect us to put out an episode on Thanksgiving, but I'm so glad that Dakota went looking. She's like, where are these bitches? I feel the love. Sorry, guys.
Kelsie (:Yes. Yeah, and it was a holiday. Yeah.
Monica (:Mm-hmm. Yeah, like 15 or 16 weeks. Yeah.
Ashley (:Kinda wild.
Monica (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Yeah. Mm-hmm. For real. Our listeners are bothered by us. Yeah. What are you guys bothered by?
Monica (:You
Nicole (:We're bothering you, our bad.
Monica (:you
Kelsie (:Every time we say something about being bothered, I think about the guy from the movie. He's like, come bother me. You know what I'm talking about? It's a Nicholas Sparks. The choice, the choice. He's like got a southern accent and he was like, come bother me, baby. No? Okay. Well.
Monica (:Speaking.
Nicole (:You
Monica (:What movie is that?
Nicole (:What movie excuse?
Ashley (:What?
I've never seen that movie.
Nicole (:I've never seen that movie, so sorry. I'm a... Beuler! Definitely gonna have to maybe watch it, I don't know. Okay, anyway.
Monica (:No.
Ashley (:Nope.
You blur.
Kelsie (:Never mind.
You could read the book first. The book is better than the movie.
Nicole (:I could read the book as per usual, but you know, I'm really not right. I'm really not like a Nicholas Sparks book reader. I will. like the movie adaptations, but were you really?
Monica (:As they usually are.
Ashley (:as usual.
Kelsie (:Add it to the TBR.
Monica (:my gosh.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Monica (:I was for a long time, but now they're all kind of the same.
Kelsie (:Get the fuck away. I used to be, but I haven't in a while.
Ashley (:I've never really read
Monica (:Yeah.
Nicole (:I... yeah, I don't know.
Monica (:Like in high school, I loved them, but.
Kelsie (:Well, and especially because we lived in, we lived, so he's from New Bern, North Carolina, and that's like where most of the books are from like that area. And we lived, we were basically there. So then I took a special interest in it after that.
Monica (:Mm-hmm.
Nicole (:Based yeah
Hm, fun.
Ashley (:Hmm.
Nicole (:That makes sense. makes sense. Okay, speaking of being bothered. Yeah, what are we bothered by? Who wants to go first? Alphabetical order, Ashley go. Bothered in general.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Kelsie (:Anywho, what are we bothered by?
Ashley (:I've just been generally bothered. Just, I don't even know if I have a specific thing. I've just been bothered. And maybe, like I said, the chaos and stress of the holidays, I don't know. I'm not feeling the Christmas cheer, I'm feeling frazzled. I don't know why.
Monica (:Yeah, I feel that. Yeah.
Kelsie (:No
Monica (:Yeah, I'm not quite in the Christmas spirit either yet, but I mean it's only December 1st, so there's some time.
Nicole (:Same, same, same.
Ashley (:I hate that.
Kelsie (:I wasn't feeling it until yesterday. Literally, I started putting up my decoration, then like, it snowed. It snowed and that helped. And then, you know, yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah, I know. That bothers me. I want snow.
Ashley (:yeah. Yeah.
Monica (:I'm so jealous. Snowing while decorating. Seriously, Kelsey's in a Hallmark movie right now.
Kelsie (:Yeah, it was good. So once I put up my decorations and the snow and everything, then I was like, yeah. And Christmas presents started arriving at the doorstep and I was like, all right, I'm good. I'm feeling it now. But I was not feeling it at all. whole I normally I'm like November 1st. My decorations are up and I was.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Hmm. Yeah. Yeah. I'm hoping.
Monica (:Mmm. Mm-hmm.
Nicole (:It's the season!
Ashley (:Yeah, I'm hoping my Christmas spirit turns on soon, because yeah, it's not here yet. And I was also in like one of those like burn my whole house to the ground, kind of like I hate everything in here moods, you know, like all of a sudden everything we own, I hate it. I hate the paint color. I hate like just everything. I don't know. I've never had it so intense as like I do right now, which is very annoying. We did like
Monica (:Yeah, yeah, I've been there too. Yep, feel that.
Nicole (:Mmm... Mm-hmm.
Monica (:Why do we get that way? I really wanna know.
Ashley (:change out a rug in our living room and that kind of helped. So I don't know. We'll see. We'll see what else goes.
Monica (:It's like the best and worst thing, like getting in those phases though, because sometimes it turns out really great and you just replace everything, but that burn it down feeling, you're just like, get rid of it all.
Ashley (:Yeah.
a lot of toys didn't make the cut. A lot of toys. Gotta go. Especially with the influx of new toys that are going to be here soon.
Nicole (:Well, I'm with you on that one. Gotta go. Bye.
Kelsie (:I need to purge more.
Nicole (:Yeah, yeah, I need to finish. I need to finish purging our toy room. It's gotta go. It's gotta go. I don't know.
Monica (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Monica (:I agree with you, I feel like I've been in like a general sense of just botheredness, but I will say the one thing that I am not bothered by is my fair warning moms, if you've got kids listening right now, turn it off. Just warning you, turn it off. But I am not bothered. Yeah, don't let your kids hear.
Ashley (:Hmm.
Nicole (:Yeah, so we'll them hear.
Monica (:I am not bothered by my choice to not invite one of those dang elves on a shelf into my house because I watch all you mamas on social media posting your pictures and you know what, you do you, but like I'm not bothered by not having one of those in my house. And I haven't read the story, so I don't know, but I just, don't understand the concept of like the elf is supposed to watch the kids for good behavior, but then the elves are like up to mischief and like doing pranks and stuff. Like, like how does that make any sense?
Ashley (:Preach.
No.
Nicole (:same.
They're naughty. They're so naughty. I don't know. I have no idea. Uh-uh. No. Nope.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Does anyone do the elf? Does anyone do the elf? No. No. Okay, none of us do the elf.
Monica (:How does that make any sense?
Kelsie (:My kids wouldn't.
Monica (:It's just too much work. We have an advent calendar where it's got like little doors and I put little treats in there and I forget about that half the time. So.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Nicole (:I was, and I was going to say the only reason why I don't do it is because I would just forget about it and like not have the energy to move it. It's cute. Yeah.
Monica (:think it's cute, I just, it's too much work.
Kelsie (:think not all of the elves do mischievous things. I think some people just have their elves do cute things and then that goes. But I did see like somebody like a big influencer. They have like a shepherd. It's the same concept of the elf, but it's like obviously a shepherd from biblical. And he's like, it's the same concept, but less mischief and Santa involved.
Monica (:Okay.
Nicole (:Yeah, like, cute and silly.
Monica (:Okay, more religious, yeah.
Ashley (:more religious.
Nicole (:Hmm, a little bit more related.
Monica (:Interesting.
Ashley (:Yeah, think initially they're just supposed to move every night so that they're like shown to be alive and reporting back to Santa. But then someone started the whole mischievous thing. But no, I can't get behind it either. It's way too much for me.
Nicole (:Interesting.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Monica (:Yeah, I think it's cute. I do think it's cute and I will enjoy all of the pictures from afar, but I do not regret that decision of not bringing an elf into this house. And thank goodness for my sister-in-law's sister explaining today to the kids of like, there's just, there's not enough elves for all of the houses. So some kids just don't get one. And my kids were like, okay.
Nicole (:It's a lot.
Ashley (:I don't even think it's cute. I think it's dumb.
Nicole (:Mm-mm.
Ashley (:The bad kids get the elves. Yeah. The elf only goes to the bad kids house. We actually, we don't even really lean into like the whole Santa thing that much. Like it's not that I don't, I don't tell them like Santa's not real, but like we just don't talk about Santa all the time or like go see Santa at the mall. Like we just don't really focus. Like, they'll get one gift from Santa and it's like a small thing. Like it's not a whole thing, you know? So yeah, the elf too.
Nicole (:Yeah, only, only the bad kids get the-
It's so dirty.
Monica (:Yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah.
Monica (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:I think that's good because I somebody made a point to me one time that it's like if you make because a lot of people do they make like a big present from Santa and it's like if you go to school and you're like Santa got me a PlayStation and another kid comes to school and he's like Santa got me socks like then the kid thinks that like Santa hates him so make the good presents from
Nicole (:the big gift. Yeah.
Monica (:Mm-hmm.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Yes.
Yeah.
Monica (:Yeah.
It's like the Charlie Brown of, gotta rock. Yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, agree.
Ashley (:Yeah, exactly. Mom and dad. Yeah, that's what we do.
Kelsie (:the parents and just give something small from Santa. Yeah, my kids don't know or give a freaking flying fuck about Santa or an elf. So
Ashley (:They don't even look, yeah.
Monica (:We do a little bit of the Santa, but we also don't make a huge, huge deal about it. So yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah, we did too. Yeah. Yeah. Same.
Ashley (:I also don't want Christmas to only be the magic all be Santa and then when they're at the age where they don't believe anymore, it's a bit of a letdown. Christmas isn't as fun anymore and I don't want that for them either, so.
Monica (:Yeah.
Nicole (:Mm-hmm. Yeah. I agree.
Monica (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:There's going be an exciting background in this because I can hear screaming and yelling and... Trevor's...
Monica (:Yeah.
Ashley (:All of our listeners also probably have screaming and yelling in their houses, so it's fine. Yeah.
Monica (:Yeah. It's like the real vibes of the group chat. It's just what's there. It's the authenticity.
Nicole (:Hey, I'll edit out what I can.
Kelsie (:Ha!
Yeah
Ashley (:It's an evening recording, the children are, you know, it's witching hour.
Monica (:Alright, it's witching hour and we dare record, so here we go.
Nicole (:And if you're listening to this and there is no screaming in the background, then I have done my job correctly. So let us know. Because I try. I try my best to try to block out as much of that as I can.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Thank you, Nicole.
Monica (:Thank you and a call.
Kelsie (:Speaking of feral children, I'm bothered by powdered sugar because I'll actually all sugar because Friday, Trevor was working the Chiefs game. So it was just me and the boys and Mattis dumped a huh? Huh? Mattis dumped a whole bag of powdered sugar on the floor, which powdered sugar sticks to everything. I swept the floor like
Monica (:Yeah.
Yeah
Ashley (:my god.
Monica (:I'm so sorry, Kels. I'm so sorry.
I didn't realize it was just you.
Nicole (:He
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Kelsie (:freaking five times and still didn't get it all up. Then I mopped once I got as much as I could up. And then I got, we left on a car ride because I needed to reset. I got food, we got home, I sat down to eat. In the two minutes I was eating, trying to eat, he had gotten a hold of the regular sugar and dumped that on the floor.
Monica (:every crevice.
Ashley (:Ahem.
Kelsie (:I wanted to die. So at least that was easier to sweep up.
Ashley (:It's not funny, but it's a little bit funny. Like, okay, we were getting the play by play in our group chat as this was happening and I was telling my husband about it. Yeah. So I was showing Patrick the pictures and I was like, she's so upset. Like she's having a really hard day. But then when you sent the second picture, like
Nicole (:It's not funny.
Monica (:Mm-hmm.
Nicole (:Yeah, it was not funny then. It's kind of funny now.
Kelsie (:you
Monica (:I told James about it too. He was like.
Ashley (:I did giggle a little bit and then I felt really bad because I'm like, I know it's terrible. I know that she is really going through it, but also like, what are the chances?
Kelsie (:Alright.
Nicole (:I
Monica (:I know, I know.
I know.
Ashley (:Yeah
Yeah
Monica (:I was like responding and James was like, can you pause that for a second and like give me your attention? I was like, no, cannot. My friend needs me and I showed him the picture and he was like, my gosh. And he's like, kids get out of the kitchen. Just leave mom alone.
Nicole (:No!
Ashley (:you
Red alert.
Kelsie (:Yeah, no, I literally I had told Trevor that I want it cuz like the Tyneco wet dry mop things were on sale for the Black Friday sale like a lot on sale and I told him like I wanted one for Christmas but he had I knew he hadn't ordered it yet as soon as that happened I sat down like tears streaming from my eyes. I'm so mad and I rage ordered the Tyneco
Ashley (:Ugh.
Nicole (:Mm-hmm.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
I'm
Nicole (:ORDER!
Ashley (:That's so funny.
Nicole (:None of us blame you for doing that. Yes, as you should.
Ashley (:No, you needed it.
Monica (:You you deserved it in that moment. You truly did.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Yeah, Merry Christmas. No wonder you have the Christmas spirit.
Nicole (:Exactly, deserve- Merry Christmas, you deserve it.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Yup. I haven't used it yet. It's charging right now.
Ashley (:Your gift is already there.
Nicole (:my gosh. I want one of those.
Kelsie (:I'm also a little bit bothered by the fact that my back has hurt for this whole week. I have never experienced such back pain. That's okay.
Ashley (:Mmm.
Nicole (:I am so sorry. I am not bothered by the fact that my chiropractor membership restarted. I had it paused for like three months and it went through the other day and I forgot about it. And I like was checking my bank statements for something else and I was like, ooh, and I got very excited and I was like, I'm going to the chiropractor. Goodbye. And I like went to the joint. See you later.
Monica (:Mmm.
Kelsie (:It's funny because I used to work at a chiropractor's office and like, I would just always get adjusted. And then now like, I'm so nervous. Now when I think about getting my neck adjusted, like, I can't. I'm just like have this fear that I'm there to snap my neck and it ruins it for me and I can't do it. I can't talk myself out of this fear. It's not worth it to me.
Nicole (:Because, I love it.
Mm-hmm.
That's how I used to be. That's how I... That's so funny. That's how I used to be before. Actually, Monica and I have the same chiropractor from when I lived in Arizona. We have the same chiropractor. Didn't, did not know each other, never crossed paths at all, but we went to the same. And they were the first chiropractors that I ever let crack my neck. And they, took me a little while to get comfortable with them to allow them to.
Monica (:Mmm... Mm-hmm...
Which is so funny, because we didn't even know each other at the time.
Kelsie (:now
Nicole (:but now that I've like, got gotten over that initial fear. I will sometimes like, if it's a brand new doctor, I get a little nervous and I'll tell them like, I'm a little nervous. Like I'm a, we have a freak about my neck. Like, and then once I get used to them. Yeah. So once I'm done, once I get used to them, I'm like, okay, fine. So like, I'm used to my person that I go to now, but they have, they are a couple.
Monica (:Mm-hmm.
Ashley (:think they get that all day long.
Monica (:Yeah, I'm sure.
Nicole (:the two of them that own the practice are a couple and they just had a baby. like during her pregnancy, they had some other chiropractors kind of coming in and filling in. And now that she is, you know, staying home a little bit more, they have people. So like, would walk in and I'd be like, I don't know you. And I'd have that like initial like, you're gonna break my neck, fear again. And then I would get over it really quick and I'd be okay. yeah. Yeah. And I like.
Monica (:No, I'm so particular about who I see. I know. No.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Nicole (:I couldn't even be like, no, because I'm like, I get it. Like you guys can't work as much. Like, you know, you have a baby, a two month old. and she's so cute. I was so excited when I walked in there the other day and it was the man. I was like, my God, show me pictures of that baby right now. Cause I had my membership pause. So I didn't see them, you know? And I didn't see when she left. I actually didn't even know she was pregnant until she was literally about to pop.
Monica (:Yeah.
Awwww.
Nicole (:because she's so tiny and always wore like a sweatshirt. And one day she didn't have her sweatshirt on. I was like, what is that? She was eight months pregnant. She's like, I'm literally eight months pregnant. was like, excuse me.
Ashley (:my god.
Monica (:That's so funny. The same thing happened to me actually with Dr. Jenny. And I was like, wait a minute, what?
Kelsie (:my gosh.
Nicole (:Yeah, my gosh, she's so tiny. Yeah, she's so tiny. So same thing. But like, yeah, so I haven't seen them in a while. So I was really excited. freaking, saw that he was like in there and I ran and I was like, show me pictures of that baby right now. And he obliged. He was very, I love them. They're a nice little practice and I love them very, much. But I'm not bothered by the fact. I'm not really bothered by a whole lot this week. The only thing I'm bothered by is the fact that my parents leave tomorrow.
Monica (:That's hilarious.
Nicole (:They came in for Thanksgiving and I'm very thankful that they were able to do that because up until like, I don't know, the first week of November, it was looking like that was not gonna happen. We even had plans to go to somebody else's Thanksgiving and be a part over there and my mom pretty much last minute was like, hey, we can come. And I was like, yes. So it's been really nice. Yeah, it's been really nice to have them here.
Ashley (:that's so nice.
Kelsie (:That's good.
Nicole (:I got to have like all my favorite Thanksgiving foods. Cause my parents were here to make them. my kids have wanted virtually nothing to do with me. They have just been wanting grandma and well-o this whole week. And yeah, so on Tuesday, that's gonna go out the window come Tuesday. However, I think my two year old is going to have a meltdown.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Monica (:Mm-hmm-hmm-hmm.
Ashley (:Yep.
Little break.
Nicole (:when she goes, want, I want grandma and grandma is nowhere to be found. think she's going to lose her mind. So I know, but.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Monica (:Mm-hmm.
Ashley (:how sad.
Monica (:no.
that will be so sad.
Ashley (:Your mom's gonna be so depressed at that.
Nicole (:Yes, yeah, she knows she will she's yeah leaving is always you know difficult. yeah Yeah, which is great. So I'm thankful that we have the room for them to be here Because it makes it easier to and yeah, we've just we really didn't even do anything like today We took the kids to see Moana too, which was really good but otherwise, we've just been like hanging out here and
Ashley (:That's gonna be hard for her. Did they stay with you guys?
Yeah, that's nice. Yeah.
Monica (:Mm-hmm.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Yeah.
Nicole (:It's just been nice to just have them around, know, so because they live back in Arizona. So it's nice. I'm bummed that they're leaving, but it is what it is. I am bothered by the fact that the airport is three hours away. there's that. So that sucks. My husband has to rally and drop them off. He rallied and picked them up. So now he has to rally again and drop them off. But it's a bummer.
Ashley (:Ugh, yeah.
That gives me flashbacks to when your flight was delayed out of Colorado and you didn't get home until like the middle of the night
Monica (:That's a long drive. I know, I was thinking of that too.
Nicole (:my gosh, yes. Five o'clock in the morning. I literally didn't get home. We literally didn't get home until 4.30 in the morning and Justin had to work at six.
Monica (:took you like a week to recover.
Ashley (:Jesus, that was bad.
That was really bad.
Nicole (:It was just so bad. It was so bad. I felt horrible. I felt so horrible. I was like, of course, we live almost three hours away from the airport and he has got to work. And I was supposed to be in at 8 p.m. and now I'm not getting in until fucking midnight. It was ridiculous.
Ashley (:You were the worst one for that to happen too, and of course.
Monica (:I know.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:Is that all we're bothered by? Are we?
Monica (:I think so.
Nicole (:I yes.
Ashley (:That's it. I mean, probably not, but that's all I can think of at the moment.
Kelsie (:I have an Am I the Asshole for us. I actually found a really good bunch of them, so choosing was a little hard, this one is interesting and kind of like, it's kind of absurd, but it's also, they thought it was really serious, so.
Ashley (:Yay!
Nicole (:Okay, yay, let's do it.
Monica (:It was important to them.
Nicole (:Okay, let's hear it. I love that.
Kelsie (:Yes, it's from Miss Miles 11. Am I the asshole for being mad that my boyfriend won't make noodles the way I like? That's the title.
Nicole (:okay.
Ashley (:Ha ha!
Monica (:You
Kelsie (:It's a serious noodle issue here, okay? Okay, this sounds dumb, but hear me out. I have always been a picky eater, especially when it comes to tomatoes. Ever since, I keep hitting my fucking lamp. Okay, sorry. I know. I know. Okay. I would like to point out that there's not a fly in here. No flies. No flies. Yeah, just the crier. Okay.
Ashley (:Okay, okay.
Monica (:I think that's like the third time I've seen that happen. You're about to take it out.
Nicole (:just the crier tonight. Just the crier, no fly.
Ashley (:whoa.
Are you lonely?
Kelsie (:I just now thought about it honestly, so I don't know There's still time honestly, you never know they come out of the fucking woodwork around here Okay, I've always been a picky eater especially when it comes to tomatoes ever since I was a kid My dad would make my spaghetti different from the rest of the house I like having an essence of the sauce flavor on the noodles But not the overpowering flavor having noodles bathed sauce creates, so here's where it gets a bit odd
Monica (:Ha!
Ashley (:Yes, the episode's not over yet.
Monica (:They might show up. They might show up at intermission.
Ashley (:God.
Kelsie (:My dad would separate my spaghetti from the family's after putting the sauce on and then would rinse the sauce off with the sink and a strainer. I love noodles like this as it is a nice subtle tomato vibe given to the mild spaghetti. Me, my 20, she's 20, boyfriend 26. My boyfriend has known about this since we first started dating. He's always told me my food habits were cute.
Monica (:I'm judging so hard.
Ashley (:Ew.
Kelsie (:We have been dating for almost three years now and moved in together at the beginning of the pandemic so we could be in a lockdown together. Ever since we moved in together, he insisted on taking charge of cooking and all cooking related tasks, dishes, grocery shopping, et cetera. And he assigned me the role of cleaning the bulk of the apartment. We split other tasks pretty much 50 52. Everything was perfect. And he always seemed to be making noodles the way I liked them. When we had them, this was until last week when we, when we had spaghetti.
We ate and everything was good, but afterwards he started teasing me by saying things like, really like your pasta with an essence of tomato and how was your tomato essence, babe? Always using finger quotes around the word essence. After a few comments, I felt something was off and asked him if he had done anything differently with tonight's noodles than he usually does. And he started laughing. When he finally stopped laughing, he told me the whole truth while smirking.
Ashley (:You
Kelsie (:He said, I didn't do anything different than I usually do. I have never been making it the way you've requested. Apparently, entire time we've been living together, he's just been skipping the pasta sauce on my noodles entirely. He claimed that if I didn't notice for this long, then it shouldn't matter that he is making dinner in a way that is easier for him. I disagree entirely. I think the lying was a huge breach of trust.
Ashley (:You
Monica (:Ha ha ha!
Ashley (:my God. Stop.
Kelsie (:And so was the refusal to make dinner how I wanted. have admittedly been acting passive aggressively to him since, but he thinks he did nothing wrong and that I'm overreacting and that I need to let it go. Am I the asshole?
Monica (:my gosh.
Ashley (:my god.
Monica (:The only thing that comes to my mind is what I've been saying to my kids all freaking week is, is this a big problem or a little problem?
Nicole (:Okay, I was with you on that. Is this a big problem or a little problem until he started mocking her? Excuse me, rude. I'm not okay with that part. Don't mock her.
Monica (:Yeah, I feel, although I could see, can, yeah, that's what I'm saying. Like I could see it being very playful and teasing. Like you would really have to hear the tone.
Kelsie (:Trevor would tease me like that, but...
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm. He's been keeping...
Nicole (:Okay, but until she was like... But... I don't know.
Kelsie (:But like it.
Yeah.
Ashley (:He's been keeping this secret the whole time. He's probably like, he's made her pasta 10 times and with no sauce. And she's like, I love the essence. And I'd be like, I would have got, finally been like, there's no essence of sauce.
Kelsie (:But the thing is like...
Yeah, I feel like if I had fed- if Trevor- this was Trevor, if I had fed him this like multiple times and he never noticed, I would be teasing him too like, bitch, you don't need the essence of pasta because I've been giving you plain fucking noodles and you haven't known the difference, like... Like I- I kinda think it's like... I- he's a little bit the asshole because like why not just...
Nicole (:you
Monica (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Yes.
Nicole (:my gosh.
That's so funny.
Ashley (:Yeah. Not to mention this is so weird to begin with.
Nicole (:It is weird, yes.
Monica (:also really kind of grossed out by the sink water.
Nicole (:Yeah, yeah, I got grossed out by the sink water too. I literally was like, I'm very Italian. That is sacrilegious. What are you doing? Rinsing off fucking sauce.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Mm hmm. Wait, Kelsey, were you going to? Wait, Kelsey, were you going to say, why not just make it the way she wants it?
Monica (:Yeah, sorry Kelsey.
Kelsie (:What?
Well, like, some degree, who fucking like if if you have to add an extra step of just rinsing the fucking sauce off her noodles, is that really that big of a deal? But also like it's dumb thing to care about. But I mean, you're the one who insisted you're the cook of the relationship and you're going to do every meal. Then I think you should at least a little bit on her. But for the most part, I think she's a dumb bitch.
Nicole (:Okay.
It's weird.
It's weird.
Yeah.
Monica (:Yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah. Okay. Okay. So I think she has weird food habits. I do. I don't think it's very kind of him to be like, your food habits are cute. But then be, go be like, go behind her back and be like, I haven't been doing what you want me to do. And I've been lying to you about it. I do get the, the, the fact that she's feeling like distrustful of him because you know, he's, he was supposed to take over the cooking and all the things that she put that trust in him that he would honor her like Kelsey said, and he didn't. So I do get that.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Monica (:but then not do it.
Kelsie (:I think it's a little much.
Nicole (:But at the same time, I think it is a little much, but I think there's like kind of an easy solution. You don't have to rinse off her noodles. You could put some aside before you put the sauce in with the rest of the noodles. And you could do like a little tiny teaspoon of sauce on hers and mix it in without having to rinse it. Then she can rinse your own noodles if that's the thing. You know, like.
Monica (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:but she wants the sauce on there and then rinsed off. I think that would have been a good compromise is make the noodles the way you always would and then let her rinse her own noodles off. Yeah. I just think she was a little like.
Nicole (:She let her rinse her shit. So you're a grown adult. You could rinse your own noodles. It's not.
Monica (:Yeah.
I just feel like it's, I think it's just not that big of a deal. like it's, it's more in my mind, like I'm hearing it more of like almost like a prank where like it's, it's not like he put something gross in there or something that like she really didn't want, right? Yeah.
Kelsie (:I don't think it's that big a video.
Ashley (:It is so dumb.
Nicole (:Yeah.
No, that's what I thought was gonna happen.
Kelsie (:Yeah, it sounded like he was poisoning you. Yeah, yeah. She didn't even notice, yeah. Yeah, she didn't even notice.
Ashley (:And she still liked them. She still liked them. She doesn't need the essence of tomato rinsed off of her pasta if she didn't even notice and sounds like they eat spaghetti every freaking week. Also, do you guys put your sauce? Do you mix your sauce and your pasta? Like when you mix, we never do that.
Nicole (:Yeah, no, yeah.
Monica (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Nicole (:police often enough.
Monica (:Yeah, how often do you eat?
No.
Nicole (:Yes, I do. Yeah. I do. I do.
Kelsie (:We always did growing up. That was always the way that my family did it. And then when I got out of the house, I wanted them separate. was like, think that now I just mix them again.
Monica (:Now, pour it on top.
Nicole (:Ugh.
I do.
Ashley (:ours are separate. We always keep them separate. Also, my kids only eat... One of my kids only eats plain pasta with parmesan, so I guess maybe that's why. I don't think we've ever mixed them.
Monica (:Yeah.
Nicole (:But even like even if my kids decide they don't want sauce on their pasta I still have to technically cook them separately so there's gonna be pasta strained and then they'll all separate it before I mix it with the rest and That deal, okay
Monica (:Mm-hmm.
Kelsie (:So there are edits to this, but I wanted to get your opinions before I read them. So the first edit says, my boyfriend found the post and it's not happy. I'm debating pouring the sauce directly down their drain despite him. And then edit number two is, so a lot has happened since this morning. Y'all may be happy to hear we broke up. We had a huge blow up fight since he found the post, which led to me breaking up with him. He did not like being called a predator. And I started to think,
Monica (:Okay.
Nicole (:tell me, tell me, I need to know.
Monica (:GIRL!
Ashley (:my god.
Nicole (:This is just feeling hurt.
Ashley (:I am happy to hear that.
Nicole (:Yeah.
Predator!
Ashley (:A predator? Who called him a predator? my god. Where- yes. What a leap.
Kelsie (:Apparently someone in the call- Apparently someone in the comments. and I think that's taking it a little far. If one of them is more asshole than the other, like I'd venture to say it's her, cause like, I think you could be annoyed by the fact that he was like lying and kinda making fun of you, but I don't think you can be like, all trust is broken, like, then that's not the relationship for you.
Monica (:I do not, I don't know how they got there.
Nicole (:That's sleep.
Yeah.
Monica (:Yeah.
Nicole (:Yes.
Yeah, yeah, yeah to
Ashley (:If you are, then yeah, you deserve not to be in the relationship. That's dumb.
Monica (:If that is, yeah, if that's what your relationship is hanging on by is whether or not your boyfriend puts spaghetti sauce on your noodles properly, I think that there are much bigger issues behind seeing.
Nicole (:you
The right way.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah, to be fair, I do feel like moving in with someone so you can go through a lockdown together is not the right choice either. that was... Okay, wow, okay, so this is weird. I thought they were as like a newer relationship. So he knows this though, like he really knows this about her. That's weird, I don't know.
Monica (:Yeah
Kelsie (:Well, they had been together for three years, so... Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Monica (:okay.
Ashley (:Yeah. Yeah.
Monica (:I just, can't imagine.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Monica (:Okay.
Ashley (:But it didn't matter because she didn't even notice. It didn't matter.
Nicole (:No, I know, but I'm just saying like...
Kelsie (:Yeah, if she had noticed it like, but she didn't notice which kind of is why I'm like
Monica (:It makes me wonder then because I this is one of those things where like I wish that I had like a camera just like to hear the interaction because it makes me wonder if when he had said that if he really was kind of being an asshole about it and like really trying to provoke her. Okay, okay, here we go.
Nicole (:What else is happening?
That's what I'm wondering.
Kelsie (:Listen to this last edit please. Now some things I found out in this big argument they had when they broke up. He had always said he was a pharmacist. He's not a pharmacist. He actually just works at CVS. Second...
Nicole (:okay.
Ashley (:What the fuck?
Monica (:Fuck you, date for three years and not know that.
Ashley (:We have taken a big turn here.
Kelsie (:Second, he has actually cheated on me multiple times with other girls that go to my college. And lastly, and worst of all, he has never actually been allergic to dogs and just doesn't like them.
Ashley (:This bitch is oblivious.
Nicole (:Great, so the pasta, the pasta was actually a good thing, okay?
Monica (:Well, now we know, okay.
Kelsie (:I don't know if you guys have ever seen Vanderpump Rules, but there's a part where they're like, it's a British guy, and he's like, it's not about the pasta. And that's what this is like. It's not about the pasta.
Ashley (:What?
Nicole (:Literally, it's not about the pasta, it's about so much more. Well, okay.
Monica (:It's not about the pasta!
Ashley (:It turns out he's actually a pathological liar.
Kelsie (:God, I hope somebody on here that listens gets the reference.
Nicole (:That's yes, I honestly think like, it turns out that he's just he's just a flat out asshole period. And he probably was doing it to mock her or to like, make her upset. And like, yeah.
Monica (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:Which honestly, it tracks more because she was obviously knows him better and was feeling that. And so this reaction makes more sense because obviously just in the context she gave us, it doesn't, but there's obviously deeper things there and her intuition probably played into that. so like now it makes sense why she was like so ready to just be like, he's a fucking, yeah, he's, can't trust him.
Monica (:Yeah.
Yeah.
It makes a lot more sense. Yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah.
Monica (:Yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah.
Monica (:Mm-hmm.
Nicole (:caught off guard by it and like, yeah, liar. Yeah, I can't trust him. Well, clearly, if you can't trust him about pasta sauce, what can you trust him about? Jesus Christ. It's not about the pasta.
Ashley (:man. man.
Kelsie (:It's not about the pasta.
Ashley (:Evidently nothing. You know what? The next time you get in a fight with your husband about something silly, just think it actually could be something major. Like he lied about his job and his allergies and his... And the fact that he's cheating on you.
Monica (:You know what I mean? Yeah.
Kelsie (:Trevor, are you really a Marine?
Nicole (:truly. And other women! Trevor never went to boot camp!
Monica (:do you date someone for that long? How do you date someone for that long and not know what their actual job is for real?
Kelsie (:I mean, I guess if she just went in there and I mean, if he worked behind, if he worked like if he was a tech back there or something, she may have just not didn't question it.
Nicole (:You never went to CVS and visited them?
Monica (:Yeah.
Ashley (:She didn't see his paycheck?
Monica (:Right paycheck paycheck is a huge difference.
Nicole (:That's... I'm confused. I'm confused. maybe. That's true. And some people...
Ashley (:What the fuck?
Kelsie (:Maybe she's just a dumb bitch.
Ashley (:You know what, some people live double lives. So I guess him not being a pharmacist isn't the craziest thing.
Monica (:That's true.
Kelsie (:Yeah, I don't know. Just some people just also just don't want to see the truth. So there's that.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm. She was tasting the tomato sauce even though it wasn't there, so.
Monica (:Yeah, that's true.
Nicole (:Yeah, that's yeah.
It was the sauce that broke the noodles back. The essence, just barely. Just barely.
Kelsie (:Thank
Ashley (:She had the essence of a good relationship.
Kelsie (:I can't.
Ashley (:All the while.
Nicole (:That's wild, honestly. That took a turn. I really thought it was just gonna be about pasta sauce and then it went the complete other way.
Ashley (:I'm
Monica (:I thought that that's it was gonna end, but you know what?
Kelsie (:It was it it was a turn for me too because I didn't see that edit when I picked it so that that was like really
Ashley (:That was a good one.
Nicole (:That was a really good one. I like that's crazy. I would do more those. That was fun. my God. But, you know, as somebody that's very food motivated, don't fuck with my food, bro. Like I would probably get mad if somebody made my food the wrong way and like blatantly lied to my face. I'd be like, you did what? yeah.
Ashley (:That was a good one, we need more of those. I like that one.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Monica (:my gosh.
Kelsie (:I do feel that way, yeah.
I do get mad once or something.
Monica (:I think if it were something like gross that they did, like I would be pissed, but in this case, it was just a neglect of the essence.
Kelsie (:The fact is like she didn't it'd be like anything that I would get mad about is something that I wouldn't notice but like She didn't notice which is why I'm like, I don't really have a lot of sympathy for you If you hadn't noticed but how many times is his nankuchu spaghetti and you've never noticed so like get a grip but also fuck him
Nicole (:Yeah.
Ashley (:You
Nicole (:Yeah, yeah. She didn't notice.
Monica (:Yeah.
Nicole (:No.
How many times how many times has the man cheated on her and she didn't notice so maybe she is just You get no essence
Kelsie (:Every time he cheats, he comes home and makes her noodles with no essence of sauce.
Ashley (:Yeah...
Nicole (:I can't. I can't. And three years? Ugh.
Ashley (:man.
Monica (:I think the description though of like the essence just like chef's kiss to the story
Nicole (:Again, you're a grown adult. Grown adult rinses your own pasta. Yeah.
Ashley (:This girl's dad really spoiled her.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Monica (:For real, for real. Yeah, that is not how my childhood was. It was, you will eat these damn noodles.
Nicole (:Grown adult.
If you want rinsed pasta. Yep. Yep.
Kelsie (:you
My mom can't even remember the things that I don't like. Like, my whole life never liked, I'm allergic now, but I've never liked mushrooms. And like, sometimes she'd be like, do you want mushrooms? And I'm like, mom, I don't even like, or bacon, I like bacon now. But for a long time, I did not like bacon. Like all growing up until just like, as an adult, I've started liking bacon. And she'd be like, you want some bacon? No, I don't, like, it's a common conversation, like over and over again. You want some bacon? No, I've never liked bacon, not my whole life. I've never liked bacon. What do you mean?
Ashley (:Eat or starve.
Monica (:with my mom too.
Ashley (:She put that in the not important category. Do not retain.
Kelsie (:So the fact that like this dad is, you know, repeatedly just making this girl noodles special is crazy because...
Nicole (:She was like, whatever. Rinse in the pasta.
Monica (:You know, I would absolutely lose it if she learned as an adult that her dad never put that-
Kelsie (:Her dad just did. that girl's got some serious trust issues.
Ashley (:Also never rinsed him. my God, I hope he didn't.
Nicole (:I think she just needs therapy in general.
Ashley (:That's, that's dark. It's getting dark. Our first guest.
Kelsie (:I we need to get the dad. Can we get the dad on here?
Monica (:I hope for her sake that's not true and that it's just this asshole boyfriend.
Nicole (:You
Gosh, I hope, my God. my goodness. That was funny though. I liked that one. We need more ones like that, because it was like kind of lighthearted and silly. Just silly. That was silly. I'm gonna be thinking about that for the rest of the night. Rinse pasta.
Monica (:No!
Ashley (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:funny. I like that one.
Monica (:There was another one that I read earlier and I'm curious how you guys would react. And it's even funnier because I read it and like an hour later my sister sent me a screenshot of it. So let me just read it to you because it's that good. It's pretty funny. But I also have a biased perspective because of my profession. So.
Nicole (:my gosh.
The pasta girl needs to hit you up. She's obviously got some problems. Pasta girl, if you're out there.
Ashley (:Yeah, real.
Monica (:Okay, so this person, right? So this person said, I've been seeing a therapist and she is lovely, but the other day she did something that really puzzled me. Usually she would have a cookie or tea during our session, but that day she ate a seafood boil. If you're not familiar.
Nicole (:you
Nuh-uh-uh. Nuh-uh-uh. Nuh-uh-uh. Nuh-uh-uh. Nah.
Ashley (:What the fuck? What the fuck?
Monica (:you're not familiar with a seafood boil, it's a type of dish where seafood, such as crab, shrimp, crawfish, et cetera, are mixed within a thick, highly spaced sauce in a plastic bag. I like seafood boils, but I found the smell and cracking of shellfish to be extreme.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Kelsie (:this is like in person. was imagining this to be like, I was imagining this to be virtual, which is still kind of gross because I'm like, mixing like the butter, does it bring out? No, okay. This is in person.
Nicole (:I was gonna say on Zoom. Yeah,
Monica (:No.
Ashley (:She's got, they usually give you the bib to wear when you're like at the, I'm doing a bib, I'm doing the bib and I'm holding my mic on the side of my neck to show you guys the bib motion as if you don't know what a bib is.
Nicole (:I hate it. The bib, she's, we can't hear you, we can't hear you.
Monica (:you
Kelsie (:Yeah
Nicole (:I'm just dangin'!
Ashley (:You know when you go to a seafood boil place and they give you a bib?
Kelsie (:No, I've never seen a bib in use before. Can you show me again?
Ashley (:What? Yeah, here, it's like this.
Nicole (:You
Ashley (:and you tie it up in the back. It has a lobster on it or something usually.
Nicole (:is a great episode for YouTube.
Monica (:So, so he says, like seafood boils, but I found the smell and cracking of shellfish to be extremely distracting during therapy. I would like to continue therapy with her as she is really helpful, but I'm scared of confrontation. Would I be the asshole if I told her to stop eating messy food during our sessions? I have depression.
Ashley (:You
Kelsie (:Yeah
Ashley (:No kidding.
Nicole (:God no!
Ashley (:my god.
Kelsie (:I do not think it's... I think you're perfectly...
Nicole (:The ending though... The ending... The way you ended that... I have depression.
Monica (:I summarized it, but I have depression.
Ashley (:Wow. Wait, did, does this come up in school, Monica?
Monica (:I paraphrased the ending.
will give you my perspective in a second, but I really wanna know how you guys would.
Nicole (:Honestly, I just genuinely think that you're eating, you're already in a very intimate session, like space with somebody, somebody who's being vulnerable with you, how very disrespectful for you to just eat. I don't care what you're eating, even a cookie, like why are you eating while I'm talking to you? Like that's weird. Yeah, have a drink, coffee, tea, whatever, that's fine. Why are you eating? You're just like, while I'm pouring my fricking trauma to you, can you not?
Monica (:Yes.
Kelsie (:Yeah, I'm cool with you like sipping on something.
Ashley (:Yeah, eating in general. Okay, but especially the seafood boil. my God, that I feel like is she doing some kind of social experiment? That's.
Nicole (:and you're cracking and you're slapping. No.
Kelsie (:too far because like people have allergies too on top of that like I don't know
Nicole (:Yeah. a social experiment.
Ashley (:That, it seems, it seems like unreal. Like how could a therapist think that was appropriate? I just, can't even, I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around it unless it was like a joke or something. I don't get it.
Nicole (:It- yeah.
Monica (:Hmm.
Nicole (:Yeah. Yep.
Monica (:Yeah. Yeah.
Nicole (:Yeah, okay. That's what yeah, like she's she's slowly escalating Yeah, maybe maybe
Kelsie (:Maybe she's just testing him to see if he'll like stand up for himself. I'm not sure that's ethical, but...
Ashley (:She's just gonna keep doing more and more crazy shit every single session.
Monica (:So, okay, yes. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, I don't know. I did have that thought.
Nicole (:Yeah, maybe he is a people pleaser and she is trying to find a way to get him out.
Ashley (:Ahem.
Kelsie (:She's just gonna eat something as grosser and grosser every week to try and get him to be like, no more.
Monica (:Maybe she's doing some kind of exposure techniques and it's prompting him to stand up for himself. Maybe. That's the only ethical conclusion I can come up with. That's the only ethical thing I can come up with.
Ashley (:Can you not?
Nicole (:Doesn't there have to be consent for that?
Wait, doesn't there have-
Okay, question about exposure stuff. Like, don't you have to consent to that though? It's like, you know I mean? Like, like I have a fear of spiders. If somebody was like, I'm gonna exposure you to spiders, but not tell me, I would lose my mind. I would kill somebody straight up.
Monica (:Well, I mean, there are there's so many. Yeah, there's there's so many questions.
Ashley (:Like all of a sudden you're covered in spiders.
Monica (:Well, I think eating in front of him is different than an exposure like that. And there's lots of different forms of exposure. But I mean, it could be that she was just giving him opportunities to stand up for himself. Maybe, maybe that's, maybe. It is.
Nicole (:I guess.
A seafood boil is bold. A seafood boil is bold.
Ashley (:And then all session.
Monica (:Which that's the only reason, that is the only reason why I am coming to that conclusion of like maybe is because it's so extravagant of like, what's the most ridiculous thing I can eat in this session to get this client to stand up for themselves? Like maybe, I don't know. Generally speaking though, no, that wouldn't typically be appropriate. I don't know any profession where that would be appropriate to eat a seafood freaking boil.
Nicole (:It is very extreme.
Kelsie (:See you.
Nicole (:Yeah, that's so unprofessional.
Kelsie (:you
Ashley (:You
Nicole (:Correct. Unless you work at a crab shack.
Monica (:just trying to give this therapist the benefit of the doubt that like maybe...
Ashley (:You're giving her way too much benefit of the doubt. Yeah.
Nicole (:You're giving her lot of slack, yep, you're giving her a lot of slack.
Monica (:Because I have to hope that there's...
Nicole (:There's another layer to that. God, no. Out of her mind. Well, they are, though. So sorry. God.
Ashley (:No, no. That bitch is out of her mind.
Monica (:Because I don't want bad therapists to be out there, so I I know they are
Kelsie (:they are though.
Ashley (:They're there. They're out there eating seafood boils.
Monica (:I know. So I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt that like maybe and perhaps they had a really fabulous conversation in the next session and she congratulated him on like setting boundaries and speaking up. Maybe.
Nicole (:I need him, I need him, I really need him to come back to Reddit and tell us what happened. I need a follow up.
Monica (:I know, I know. There's an edit, but it just is clarification. It's just clarification of the seafood boil.
Ashley (:We need a follow up.
Tell us the edit. Damn it, Monica. We needed an edit of closure.
Monica (:I know, I know, I will follow it. This is new, this was posted six hours ago, so it's still very new. Yeah, there's still some time. I'm gonna flag it. Yeah, I will flag it. Maybe we will get some updates. I'm really rooting for the therapist that they knew what they were doing. But in general, in general, no, don't, like, when I was pregnant, I remember eating like crackers and stuff and feeling so uncomfortable.
Nicole (:This is so random. It is so- it's very fresh. Okay, great. We'll update you guys next week.
Kelsie (:so it's there's still time for an edit. Okay, great.
Ashley (:Six hours? Whoa, okay. us and all our listeners are hoping. Yeah, please flag it.
Kelsie (:I'd like to point out
Nicole (:I'm really rooting for the patient.
I feel like that's different. Yeah.
Monica (:I'm so sorry. Like I just, I need to like snack on this. So like not even kidding. A lot of my clients guessed that I was pregnant before I'd even announced it because I was just like, I have to eat this. And they're like, you're nauseous, aren't you? I'm like, maybe.
Nicole (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm.
Kelsie (:That's
Nicole (:What?
Monica (:So I mean in general, no, like most of us don't eat in session, let alone a boil.
Nicole (:God, that's so weird. That's such a weird thing to do.
Kelsie (:That's Guys, we couldn't do a mini-sode if we fucking tried. Look how long we've been yapping.
Monica (:No!
Nicole (:I know, I like how the time is 45 minutes. Ugh. Nope. Sure fucking can't. On that note, we should leave. Goodbye.
Ashley (:No. Couldn't pay us to do a mini-sode. We can't shut the fuck up.
Kelsie (:You could not. my god.
Monica (:you
Kelsie (:Peace!
Ashley (:Okay, mini soda over. 40 minutes.
Nicole (:You are the weakest link. Goodbye.
Monica (:was fun catching up. It was fun chatting about random shit.
Ashley (:Yes.
Nicole (:That was fun. That was a good one. I really enjoyed the Am I the Assholes because they were just out there. They were out there. I love them. No, exactly.
Monica (:Thank you too.
Ashley (:Mm-hmm. Those were fun. Yeah.
Monica (:And they aren't our problems, so.
Kelsie (:Yeah.
Ashley (:Yes, I love when it's not my problem. I do want to see food boil now though.
Kelsie (:I'm thankful that I'm not bothered by the essence of pasta. The essence of sauce.
Nicole (:I am thankful that I know how to eat pasta like a normal human being. How? That's, I can't. It's not about the pasta.
Ashley (:Yeah, for real.
Monica (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:I mean, I get picky eating and I understand, you know, but that's just like, I can't, yeah, I don't feel like you can't like.
Nicole (:I do too, but couldn't be me. Couldn't be me.
Monica (:Well, in the vibe of the therapy side of it, is usually, I would say, is like if you're fighting about pasta, you're not actually fighting about the pasta. So, exhibit A. It was not about the pasta.
Ashley (:Yeah.
Kelsie (:It's not about the pasta. It was not about the pasta.
Ashley (:And it wasn't.
Nicole (:Yeah, it's not about the pasta!
Ashley (:No.
Monica (:froze.
Kelsie (:Okay, yeah. Anyways, like, rate, review, follow, subscribe, do all the things for us, please, and help our little podcast grow into a big podcast because we love you.
Nicole (:no! no!
