Episode 11

11 | Art Dealers & Yam Queens | A Little Bit Bothered

This week, the hosts of A Little Bit Bothered are diving headfirst into the latest season of Love is Blind—because what’s a group chat without some reality TV chaos? But before they get into the pods, the girls share some hilarious motherhood moments, like watching toddlers attempt soccer, Nicole’s new obsession with audiobooks, and a ridiculous town tradition in Nicole’s neighborhood that involves a full-on festival and school break... for yams. Yes, yams. They crack up over it before breaking down all the drama in the pods, analyzing the love (and mess) that goes down. They focus on Taylor and Garrett, who might be the only couple with a real shot at making it to the altar. Along the way, they call out how reality TV editing can totally skew what we see as “authentic” connections. With a lot of laughs and no shortage of strong opinions, the hosts chat about how reality TV has evolved, impacting both relationships and what viewers expect. Of course, they don’t hold back their annoyance with the snail’s pace of new episodes and the overall direction the show is headed.

Welcome to the girls group chat where no topics are off limits and it's like hanging out with your friends.

Don't forget to subscribe & leave us a review! And, as always, stay a little bit bothered... in the best way!

Kelsey:

Big or small, important or unimportant?

Nicole:

Chocolate.

Nicole:

Chocolate.

Ashley:

Do it again.

Nicole:

That's.

Ashley:

Please.

Ashley:

I loved it so much.

Kelsey:

So a group chat that turned into a podcast.

Kelsey:

Hell, yeah, dude.

Kelsey:

Venting to all your besties.

Monica:

Hell, yeah, dude.

Nicole:

Are they a little bit bothered?

Kelsey:

Hell, yeah, dude.

Ashley:

You're listening to a little bit bothered, where we turn our daily group chat rants into the podcast you didn't know you needed.

Ashley:

I'm Ashley, and trust me, there's always something to talk about.

Monica:

And I'm Monica.

Monica:

We're all about those everyday annoyances that somehow turn into full blown debates.

Monica:

Let's just say nothing is too small to be bothered by.

Kelsey:

I'm Kelsey, and if you're here for a mix of unfiltered opinions, random stories, and things you didn't even know you cared about, you're in the right place.

Nicole:

And I'm Nicole.

Nicole:

Whether it's a major life event or the tiniest pet peeve, we're ready to break it all down and maybe laugh about it along the way.

Nicole:

So let's start jump into what's bothering us today.

Nicole:

What's going on with everybody?

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

How are we all doing this week?

Ashley:

Pretty good.

Ashley:

Pretty good.

Nicole:

I have a problem.

Ashley:

What?

Kelsey:

Spill.

Nicole:

I have been.

Nicole:

I have an addiction.

Nicole:

I started audio booking, which everybody knows, and I can't stop.

Nicole:

That's my problem.

Kelsey:

I have probably read, like, five books this week.

Nicole:

I think I've gone through four.

Nicole:

I think I've gone through four books this week.

Nicole:

I'm currently on my fourth one.

Nicole:

I have a problem.

Nicole:

It's a sick problem, you guys.

Ashley:

It's a good problem to have, though.

Nicole:

Yeah, I guess I need to step away from the Airpods, though, for real.

Ashley:

Okay.

Ashley:

What do you do while you're listening, though?

Nicole:

I'm, like, chores.

Nicole:

Chores.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Ashley:

I was wondering if you're being, like, super productive.

Ashley:

Because I have.

Ashley:

I'm basically like, if I'm listening, I'm cleaning.

Kelsey:

Mm hmm.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Or driving.

Nicole:

Even when I'm not being productive.

Nicole:

Even when I'm not being productive, I'm listening.

Nicole:

I'm just listening all the time.

Nicole:

It's sad, really.

Nicole:

You're all like, well, I'm also Ludial ling right now because, so I, like, want to be in a hole.

Nicole:

I don't want to be one with the outside world.

Nicole:

So the audiobooks are where it's at for me.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

I was laughing because a few episodes back, we had talked about this, and I had said how, like, reading the real book, like, that's what counts.

Monica:

But I'm like, trying to get through the mistborn series with you guys.

Monica:

And so I finally caved, and I have audible, and I'm, like, vacuuming and, like, cooking breakfast, and I'm like, okay, I get.

Kelsey:

She had to download the audiobook because she's afraid Ashley's gonna catch her.

Kelsey:

So she's like, I have to get the audiobook so that Ashley can't catch me.

Ashley:

Where are you at now?

Ashley:

Where are you at?

Monica:

I'm in part two of book three, so I think I'm on, like, chapter.

Monica:

I don't know, like,:

Ashley:

That's nothing on book three.

Nicole:

Shut up.

Ashley:

I finished book two today.

Kelsey:

She's gonna catch you.

Monica:

Shut up, Kelsey.

Monica:

No way.

Ashley:

I hope I do, because I've been behind in everything.

Ashley:

I've been behind in every single thing.

Ashley:

And I ditched vampire diaries.

Ashley:

I couldn't even do it.

Ashley:

So just actually stop so I can catch up to you.

Nicole:

Okay.

Monica:

But I am gonna be so pissed.

Monica:

My husband was giving me crap about it too, because he was like, so, wait, the series that you started a year before you shared it with them, they're all finishing?

Nicole:

Yes, yes.

Monica:

And, yeah, that might be the case.

Nicole:

I do want to put the physical books of the Mistborn series, though, so I can have them.

Nicole:

Like, trophies.

Monica:

Yeah, they are so big.

Monica:

But also my husband.

Monica:

Cause they're his books, right.

Monica:

That I'm reading, and I don't know how he feels about me having my book thong bookmark, which, by the way, for you guys listening, this was something we came, or I came across on instagram, and my sister ended up crocheting some book thong bookmarks for us.

Ashley:

So we all so fun.

Monica:

A little bit bothered themed.

Kelsey:

We have g strings.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Nicole:

I love them.

Nicole:

I love them so much.

Nicole:

And my husband was like, you guys should make this part of your merch.

Nicole:

Since my book thumbs.

Nicole:

Because I tell him.

Nicole:

Yeah, because I was like, we always talk about books on the podcast.

Nicole:

He's like, you guys should put a little bit bothered, like, on it somehow.

Nicole:

Like, your logo on such a good idea.

Nicole:

And I said, I was like, I don't know.

Nicole:

Maybe.

Nicole:

Maybe Monica's sister will crochet us book song.

Ashley:

That's such a good idea.

Monica:

I feel like probably wouldn't say no.

Monica:

She lives in the woods in her car, so she sounds worse than it is.

Monica:

She does it intentionally.

Nicole:

I was gonna say, you make her sound like a gremlin.

Ashley:

Like, okay, but I feel like you could, like, order a.

Ashley:

Like, I don't know if sheen sells thongs.

Ashley:

I'm assuming they do, like, a bulk pack of cheap ass little thongs, and you could screen print a little bit bothered on them and bam.

Ashley:

Book thongs.

Monica:

You probably could.

Monica:

Although it feels a little different to have, like, a real one that was intended to be underwear versus one crochet for your better.

Kelsey:

I think it's.

Kelsey:

Yeah, it really screws us, I think.

Ashley:

Yeah, that's great.

Ashley:

I'm gonna check.

Ashley:

I'm gonna look it up later today.

Ashley:

I don't think I told you guys when I came home from the trip, I was showing Patrick, like, you know, all my stuff, and I was showing him the book thong, and I'm standing in our room, and I have it, and the only book in there is the Bible.

Ashley:

I wanted to show him how it worked, but I'm like, I can't put it on the Bible.

Ashley:

I need a different book.

Ashley:

I think I did it on a photo album.

Ashley:

And he's like, yeah, I get it.

Ashley:

I got it.

Ashley:

I was like, okay, I got it.

Monica:

Oh, my gosh is holy.

Ashley:

Well, that was my update for you guys, was that I finished book two.

Ashley:

I didn't cry again.

Kelsey:

I don't think I did.

Ashley:

It was sad.

Nicole:

I don't remember crying at book two.

Kelsey:

I don't remember.

Ashley:

Oh, I thought you guys were specifically sad at book two.

Ashley:

Were you sad in book one?

Kelsey:

Yes.

Monica:

Yes.

Kelsey:

Book one, I sobbed.

Ashley:

Everyone.

Kelsey:

Was the one where I was like, I hate you.

Monica:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Book two, was it Kelsey?

Nicole:

Was it book three that you were up in the middle of night talking about?

Kelsey:

Yes.

Kelsey:

Book three.

Monica:

Yeah, I'm preparing for, like, I just know, actually.

Nicole:

I actually think, Ashley, you might saw that book three, or I think you do.

Monica:

You ever cried with books?

Ashley:

Does it.

Monica:

Does that happen?

Monica:

Because, I mean, we cracked you and got some tears at the airport when we left, but, like, we're crying.

Ashley:

You guys cried once reading a book of the Holocaust.

Ashley:

I don't know if I've ever cried like a regular.

Ashley:

Like a.

Ashley:

Like a.

Monica:

Like a novel?

Nicole:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Fiction book.

Ashley:

I don't know.

Nicole:

Okay, well, we'll see.

Ashley:

We'll see what happens in book three.

Ashley:

I did.

Monica:

Someone's gotta be the strong one in the group.

Ashley:

I.

Ashley:

A friend who's reading mistborn also, she said she got bored in book two and was, like, stalled out.

Ashley:

But I think maybe she just got distracted because I haven't got.

Ashley:

I didn't get bored.

Ashley:

Really.

Ashley:

I listened to it pretty damn fast.

Monica:

I mean, I kind of did.

Monica:

And that.

Monica:

That was when I went on to the vampire diaries, like, tangent, because, like, I wasn't, like, fully immersed.

Monica:

But it's such a good book.

Monica:

It's just, there's so much setup.

Kelsey:

Yeah, it was just so long, and it just kept, like, it just kept, like it would build and then it would let off and then it would build and then it would let off.

Kelsey:

And I'm like, okay, get to the.

Kelsey:

So there was, like, a point in the middle where I'm like, oh, my gosh, I have to push through this and get this over with because it just is like, it's a lot to build on.

Kelsey:

It was all good, but it was like, this is so much.

Nicole:

I've noticed that he, he is very thorough in his world building and in his storyline, it's, like, so thorough.

Nicole:

So if you actually, if you don't have any patience, mistborn is probably not the book for you.

Nicole:

However, I say that as somebody who has absolutely zero patience.

Nicole:

So maybe there's hope for you yet.

Kelsey:

Well, you need all the buildup because it all unravels, you know, eventually.

Kelsey:

Like, everything needs answers.

Nicole:

I would say the first book.

Nicole:

The first book, if you're not fully immersed within the first three chapters, then you're.

Nicole:

That's fine.

Nicole:

Just push on to chapter four.

Nicole:

It'll all make sense eventually.

Monica:

Yeah.

Nicole:

I don't remember what the beginning of book one was even about because there was a lot of words.

Nicole:

So many words.

Ashley:

Yeah, there really is.

Kelsey:

I was like, what's yourself through?

Kelsey:

And it's all worth it after that.

Kelsey:

But yes.

Nicole:

Yeah, yeah.

Nicole:

No, I was hysterical that last book.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

I'm mentally and emotionally preparing for it.

Nicole:

I'm praying for you, Monica.

Nicole:

Thank you.

Kelsey:

Well, I didn't mean to make this update all about books, but also what I've been doing this week is I read a core of thorns and roses, and I relist, and I'm over here.

Monica:

Bitter and pissed because you were supposed to wait.

Monica:

Kelsey chimes into the group chat and is like, I accidentally listened to the first chapter.

Monica:

No, you pressed play.

Kelsey:

If it cost money, I wouldn't have done it.

Kelsey:

But it was free, and I had it downloaded and ready to go, and I was bored when I was driving.

Kelsey:

I drive a lot.

Kelsey:

Every single day.

Kelsey:

I have to have something good to listen to.

Kelsey:

And anyways, yeah, I did, and it was good.

Kelsey:

But I won't move on to the second book even if I really want to.

Monica:

I will be if you ditch me and leave me behind because I still have to go finish off Twilight that you guys put me on.

Kelsey:

So I'll go finish.

Kelsey:

I'll go read Twilight again.

Ashley:

Wait, are you reading?

Ashley:

Oh, you're gonna read Twilight after mistborna?

Monica:

I have to.

Monica:

I have to finish it.

Ashley:

I forgot about.

Ashley:

You have to finish twilight.

Monica:

I mean, if I get, like, a free pass, I'll come back to a bit.

Monica:

I don't.

Monica:

It has to happen.

Nicole:

I still.

Nicole:

I still haven't even finished midnight sun, and I can't.

Nicole:

I cannot.

Nicole:

I tried to sit down last night and actually physically read it, and I was like, I want to throw this book in a fireplace.

Nicole:

I don't know what's happening as much.

Kelsey:

Maybe you need the audiobook.

Ashley:

I was gonna say get the audiobook.

Nicole:

Maybe.

Nicole:

Maybe I.

Nicole:

Right.

Nicole:

We need a sponsorship audible.

Nicole:

Please.

Nicole:

I would love.

Ashley:

I just bought five credits this morning so that I could.

Kelsey:

At the rate we are having.

Kelsey:

We're not.

Kelsey:

We can't even wait for our free credits to come.

Kelsey:

We're just going crazy.

Nicole:

It's a problem.

Nicole:

I went last night because I was like, what books are free that I can listen to, that can, like, hold me over until I get my next credit?

Nicole:

And I found a bunch.

Nicole:

I did.

Nicole:

And I'm gonna make Kelsey listen to the one that I'm listening to now that she's not committed to anything.

Nicole:

She's in a wall because it's free.

Nicole:

It's another free one.

Nicole:

And it's so fucking good, but I have a feeling it's gonna be our next fucking obsession.

Nicole:

So it is probably.

Ashley:

What's it called?

Nicole:

It's called light.

Nicole:

Light lark.

Kelsey:

My problem is, is that I need a.

Kelsey:

I need a whole Amazon deal.

Kelsey:

I need a kindle and audible deal, because I like to have both.

Kelsey:

I like to be able to swap.

Kelsey:

Yes.

Nicole:

I need a bogo.

Kelsey:

When I lay down at night, I want to be able to read, but when I'm moving, I need to be able to listen, and I need it to be just connected like it is.

Kelsey:

And it's kind of expensive to be doing both.

Kelsey:

Okay?

Kelsey:

So.

Monica:

Yes, it is.

Monica:

It's a problem.

Nicole:

It is.

Monica:

Help.

Nicole:

Hard hook a girl.

Nicole:

Help.

Ashley:

We could have.

Monica:

We could have worse problems, though.

Monica:

And so if we're bothered by that this week, that's not too.

Kelsey:

Listen.

Kelsey:

I have a pitch.

Kelsey:

Audible.

Kelsey:

Amazon, if you're listening.

Kelsey:

I'm sure you're not, but we will make a whole segment called audio books with audible and the little bit bothered gang, and we'll just talk about it every.

Kelsey:

Every week.

Kelsey:

We'll make a whole separate episode.

Nicole:

Yes.

Nicole:

I was gonna say we have an entire book club.

Kelsey:

You can have Tuesdays.

Kelsey:

We could have a Tuesday night episode dedicated to talking about books on audible.

Kelsey:

If you just.

Kelsey:

Yep, give us a little something something.

Nicole:

Give us a little.

Ashley:

You've been talking about books for 15.

Kelsey:

Different episode.

Kelsey:

Move the fuck on.

Nicole:

I do have an idea, though, and our audience is gonna have to tell us if you guys want something like this, where we could do.

Nicole:

Actually do, like, a book club, but it's, like, kind of just our listeners or, like, just our community or something.

Nicole:

And we can maybe.

Nicole:

I don't know how we would do that, but figure something out to do.

Monica:

We need the channel, which is why everybody on Instagram needs to be sharing us with their friends.

Nicole:

Yep.

Nicole:

Okay.

Nicole:

Well, we want to get our a little bit bothered.

Nicole:

A little bit bothered podcast Instagram to 10,000 followers.

Nicole:

So please share this with your friends and your mama.

Nicole:

Everybody help us.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Monica:

So that you guys can join the group chat.

Monica:

You can be a part of it.

Nicole:

Yes.

Nicole:

And the book club.

Nicole:

Be a part of the book club.

Ashley:

Okay.

Ashley:

My only other update is that my oldest, he's four.

Ashley:

He started soccer, which you guys know, because we were in the chat talking about it, and I went to Monica's house to get some cleats from her.

Ashley:

So they had their first practice, endgame.

Ashley:

They do, like, the practice, and then they practice for 30 minutes, and then they do the game right after.

Ashley:

I guess so it's, like, the same for parents?

Ashley:

Yeah, I guess so.

Ashley:

It's, like, just one day a week to make scheduling easier.

Monica:

Okay.

Monica:

Yeah.

Ashley:

And they all held it together.

Ashley:

It was just an hour, like, total, so it was.

Ashley:

It was really cute.

Ashley:

I didn't, like, have a benchmark for, like, I didn't know, like, if he was.

Ashley:

How good he was gonna be, you know, or, like, how.

Ashley:

How well he would do, but he did really great.

Ashley:

And he was, like, one of the more, like, athletic kids out there.

Ashley:

But the whole.

Ashley:

The game was hilarious.

Ashley:

Oh, my God, it was so hilarious.

Monica:

Like, they're so funny.

Ashley:

They let some of the parents go out on the field.

Ashley:

Like, if your kid is, like, lost.

Ashley:

Like, there was parents on the field, like, trying to lead their kid, and, like, you know, especially the three year olds, because it's three, four, and five.

Ashley:

And then there's some kids who just, like, are scared, you know, so their parents are, like, holding their hand on the field or whatever.

Ashley:

But, yeah, it was really funny.

Ashley:

At one point, Griffin was the goalie, and he was, like, literally a fuzz.

Ashley:

I could see the fuzz floating in the air in front of him, and he.

Ashley:

He's looking right at it.

Ashley:

And finally, like, the.

Ashley:

Like, he lets the intrusive thoughts win, and he just leaves the goal, and he's blowing on the fuzzy, and he's just, like, chasing the fuzzy and blowing on it.

Ashley:

The goal is just wide open.

Monica:

I'm like, I love that so much.

Ashley:

It was really, really cute.

Ashley:

And he had so much fun, so it was great.

Monica:

Oh, my gosh.

Monica:

I love that so much.

Ashley:

It's so true, though.

Monica:

Like, when they're that little, like, it is so fun to me to watch.

Monica:

Just, like, see which kids are gonna have moments like that.

Monica:

Yeah, they always do.

Monica:

And they're so funny.

Nicole:

That's so.

Ashley:

Yeah, yeah, it was great.

Monica:

How cute.

Nicole:

My kid has the entire next week off of school because our tiny freaking town does weird shit.

Nicole:

We have an entire, like, festival parade.

Nicole:

It's an event, okay?

Nicole:

In honor of yams.

Nicole:

All right.

Kelsey:

And it's yams.

Monica:

That is not what I thought you were going to say.

Ashley:

Whoa.

Monica:

I don't know what I thought, but it was not yams.

Ashley:

It's a yam festival.

Nicole:

It's a yam festival.

Ashley:

Wow.

Monica:

Why?

Monica:

What is the significance of Yamsden?

Nicole:

I looked it up.

Nicole:

I don't remember.

Nicole:

It has something to do with, like, the survival of the town.

Nicole:

I did not remember.

Nicole:

But the yam.

Nicole:

Okay.

Nicole:

And there's, like, a parade.

Nicole:

There is, like, car shows.

Nicole:

There are events, other events, and, like, there's a fiddling contest, which.

Nicole:

How dope is that?

Nicole:

There is an actual beauty pageant where they crown the yam Queen and Yam Queen.

Nicole:

An actual, like, carnival that comes.

Nicole:

They shut down the town square.

Monica:

The town sounds like.

Monica:

No, your town sounds like a knockoff version of mystic falls.

Kelsey:

You absolutely need to watch heart of Dixie because this is definitely a heart of Dixie.

Nicole:

This is, like, a small town, like, country at.

Monica:

I mean, it is but a whole week.

Nicole:

So she has the entire.

Nicole:

Yeah, so, okay, so, well, the.

Nicole:

The actual, like, event itself is Thursday or Wednesday, I think, through Sunday morning.

Nicole:

And Sunday is, like, the closing day.

Nicole:

They have, like, the queen's parade.

Nicole:

And that's obviously after she's already been crowned and blah, blah, blah.

Nicole:

And not really much going on on Sunday.

Nicole:

But her school.

Nicole:

Her school is out because the whole town prepares for the week.

Nicole:

So, like, the school is giving, you know, staff days on Monday and Tuesday and then Wednesday through Fridays, the actual days off for her school.

Nicole:

So she ended up having, like, an entire week off of school because of this parade.

Kelsey:

This.

Monica:

If I were little.

Monica:

If I were little and I got a whole week off of school, I would be obsessed with yams, because.

Monica:

What a gift.

Nicole:

Yeah, no, so last year we went.

Nicole:

Last year we went to some of the stuff during the day, and it's pretty cool.

Nicole:

So at our, like, civic center, they have different vendors, but a friend of mine who does apparel, he's going to be a vendor this year, so we're actually going to go and see him over there.

Nicole:

But, yeah, like, I bought her.

Nicole:

Oh, I thought it was closer to me.

Nicole:

I thought her.

Nicole:

One of her little bears was in here.

Nicole:

I bought them both, like, little crochet bears from one of the vendors last year, and they love them.

Nicole:

And, like, they also have livestock events.

Nicole:

Like, they.

Nicole:

I heard that.

Kelsey:

I tried to pull my mic away as soon as I realized what was happening, but it was so loud.

Kelsey:

Was that a burpental?

Kelsey:

That was my throat.

Kelsey:

No.

Nicole:

Esophagus.

Kelsey:

It was my esophagus.

Ashley:

What is your esophagus doing?

Kelsey:

I don't know.

Kelsey:

It was really weird gurgling in there.

Monica:

I tried to, like, stop again.

Kelsey:

Wait, something happened in there that was so funny.

Kelsey:

Oh, my gosh.

Kelsey:

Oh, yeah.

Nicole:

Anyway, so she's happy about.

Nicole:

About not having to go to school, and she's happy about being able to go see the yam queen.

Monica:

She loves the yam queen.

Ashley:

They actually all hail the Yam queen.

Monica:

Oh, my gosh.

Monica:

That's not a phrase I ever thought I'd hear us say.

Nicole:

It's so weird in all the businesses, though, in our, in our town, like, in town square kind of area.

Nicole:

Um, like some of the banks and some of, like, the.

Nicole:

The more, I guess, the businesses I have been around the longest, actually have the previous years pageant Queens ball gowns displayed in their, like, windows and stuff, and it's very cool.

Nicole:

This has been going on for a long time.

Nicole:

I think we're on, like, the 70 something.

Nicole:

70 something Yam Queen or 80 something Yam Queen.

Nicole:

I don't know.

Nicole:

It's been going on for a long time with the Yam queen.

Monica:

You gotta give it to the small towns, though.

Monica:

Like, there isn't a whole lot that happens there, so they, like, make stuff happen.

Ashley:

I love it.

Ashley:

I want to come to the festival.

Nicole:

Oh, you should.

Nicole:

It happens every October.

Monica:

All right, next girls trip.

Ashley:

Yeah, yeah.

Ashley:

Can we.

Ashley:

Could we be the Yam queens?

Ashley:

Do you have to live queen?

Nicole:

That's funny you said that, because I actually want to get Lola into the pageants, but I have no idea how to infiltrate the pageant world.

Kelsey:

I don't know.

Nicole:

I don't know.

Ashley:

Just watch toddlers and tiaras or something.

Kelsey:

Could you imagine Nicole being a toddlers and tiara's mom?

Kelsey:

She would eat those other moms alive.

Monica:

Kind of, actually.

Ashley:

I would imagine.

Nicole:

I would love it.

Kelsey:

I would take them down.

Nicole:

Being a pageant mom.

Ashley:

I would.

Monica:

Yeah, she.

Monica:

You would definitely take them down.

Monica:

And.

Monica:

Yeah, I can see it.

Nicole:

I don't.

Nicole:

I don't know if that would gain me many friends, and maybe my kid wouldn't win any pageants, but.

Ashley:

They wouldn't.

Monica:

Be able to bully me, that's for sure.

Monica:

Well, speaking of the drama love is blind, wait, wait, wait.

Nicole:

Hold the phone.

Nicole:

It's Nicole.

Nicole:

I'm editing, and I'm jumping in here just to say, spoiler alert.

Nicole:

We got so excited about this topic that we didn't even think about ruining the entire season for people who haven't caught up yet.

Nicole:

So if you're big fans of love is blind like we are, and you have yet to catch up, maybe stop listening right now because we're about to ruin the entire thing.

Nicole:

But it's okay.

Nicole:

Go watch love is blind catch up, and then come back and hang out with us for the rest of the episode.

Nicole:

Obviously, to.

Nicole:

You're listening to this episode on Thursday, the day after the latest love is blind episodes.

Nicole:

So there has been developments that we clearly don't know yet, and we'll probably touch on them again in our next episode.

Nicole:

So, you know, just bear with us on that.

Nicole:

But that's it.

Nicole:

So here is your last and final warning.

Nicole:

If you haven't caught up on love is blind season seven, and you don't want any spoilers because there are some good ones in here.

Nicole:

Stop listening now.

Nicole:

All right, see you on the flip side.

Monica:

Bye.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Nicole:

The drama.

Ashley:

Yes.

Ashley:

Love is blind, yes.

Nicole:

Wave.

Monica:

Yeah, we almost missed this wave, but we happen to catch that it was released on Netflix just in time.

Nicole:

I swear, last season, I caught on to it fairly quickly, which last season was the first season I ever watched, but same.

Nicole:

I was aware of it fairly quickly.

Nicole:

This season almost went under the radar.

Monica:

Well, I think.

Kelsey:

I think it's because it's just a shitty season.

Monica:

No, it's an awful season.

Nicole:

That's true.

Ashley:

I don't think it's a shitty season.

Kelsey:

I hated it.

Ashley:

I don't.

Monica:

It's kind of boring.

Ashley:

I think it's great.

Monica:

It's kind of boring.

Ashley:

I don't know.

Ashley:

I wasn't bored.

Monica:

I mean, we'll see.

Monica:

I feel like the finale will be a little bit better, but the initial, like, pod part of it was kind of lame.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

More to do with editing.

Ashley:

Well, some of the editing was shitty.

Ashley:

I agree 100%.

Ashley:

Some of the editing was like, why are we listening?

Ashley:

Talk about this for five minutes.

Ashley:

It's fucking boring.

Kelsey:

I don't know.

Kelsey:

It's gotten worse and worse every season.

Nicole:

Yeah, but have.

Nicole:

Okay, so who has watched all the seasons?

Nicole:

Monica, have you watched all the seasons?

Monica:

No, I've only watched this season and last season.

Monica:

And last season was like, you should watch because this was the first show that you guys, like, got me into because I normally don't watch, like, reality shows like this in general.

Monica:

I just.

Nicole:

Okay.

Monica:

I don't.

Nicole:

So I'm gonna say something.

Kelsey:

She watches south park with James.

Monica:

I watch it.

Monica:

No, he watches it.

Monica:

And I'm in the room, and I chuckle.

Monica:

There's a difference.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

And then she repeats the lines to us when we're together.

Monica:

She quotes, we were in South Park City.

Ashley:

Monica only watches obscure shows, literally.

Nicole:

But I was gonna say, I'm about.

Kelsey:

She's like, I never.

Kelsey:

I don't watch anything.

Kelsey:

And then the most unknown or un or just weird thing will come up and she will.

Monica:

I spent, like, years in grad school and so constantly studying.

Monica:

But I'd be in the room with my husband, and so he would watch this crap, and I would just observe while studying.

Monica:

I'm blaming it on him.

Monica:

It's obscure crap because he put it on everything.

Kelsey:

Actually.

Nicole:

Everything is James.

Ashley:

But you know, so many lines.

Kelsey:

Well, this is like my husband saying he hates SpongeBob.

Kelsey:

Like, despise a spongeBob.

Kelsey:

Our kids can never watch SpongeBob, but the man can quote every spongeBob line, big or small, important or unimportant.

Kelsey:

If somebody put a gun to his head and said, quote SpongeBob or you die, like this line, he would be fine.

Kelsey:

He would live to see another day.

Kelsey:

He's a fake hater.

Ashley:

Do it again.

Nicole:

That's great.

Ashley:

I loved it so much.

Monica:

I did too.

Ashley:

Do it again later.

Ashley:

Sometime else in the episode.

Ashley:

Just do it.

Monica:

We're not prepared.

Ashley:

When I least expect it.

Kelsey:

What was it I missed?

Kelsey:

What happened?

Monica:

Oh, well, you're going.

Kelsey:

Who was it?

Kelsey:

So I know what I'm looking for.

Ashley:

It's a mystery.

Monica:

Yeah, you'll find out.

Ashley:

I'll know it when you hear because.

Kelsey:

She'S losing her fucking mom.

Monica:

You'll hear it and you'll know.

Ashley:

You'll know it when you hear it.

Monica:

I love it when only one of.

Nicole:

You hears me and makes me laugh.

Monica:

Here's the thing, though.

Monica:

All of these shows, I don't hate them, but I also was not the one who chose to put them on.

Monica:

Okay.

Monica:

There's a difference.

Nicole:

Okay, well, guess what?

Monica:

Anyhow, anyhow, this last season, season six was the first time I watched the show.

Monica:

You guys got me into it.

Monica:

It was like the first thing all, like, bonded over that we, like, collectively watched together and now we're in season seven.

Nicole:

Okay, so I was gonna say, okay.

Kelsey:

But these are the two worst seasons of the whole thing.

Nicole:

Oh, my God.

Nicole:

Shut up.

Monica:

I'm trying to say something.

Monica:

Okay, well, shut up.

Monica:

Shut the fuck up.

Nicole:

I'm trying to talk.

Nicole:

Oh, my God.

Ashley:

I'm gonna talk.

Nicole:

Hey.

Nicole:

Jesus Christ.

Kelsey:

You should just mute us.

Nicole:

Shoot.

Nicole:

Can I do that?

Kelsey:

Stop talking now.

Kelsey:

I'm just kidding.

Nicole:

I was gonna say, you won't get the reference because you haven't seen season four, but when Hannah came out to Nick, she gave Irina vibes.

Nicole:

Hardcore.

Nicole:

Do you guys remember that?

Nicole:

When Irina came out to.

Nicole:

What the fuck is his name?

Nicole:

Zack.

Nicole:

And immediately you could tell that she was like, wanted to throw up in her mouth because she didn't find.

Monica:

I mean, I did give it all.

Nicole:

Yeah, well, and like, it was like I was watching it again.

Nicole:

Happen.

Ashley:

I was like, oh, there's off so much.

Nicole:

There it is.

Ashley:

She so much.

Nicole:

Wait, who?

Nicole:

Irena or Hannah?

Ashley:

No, no.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Ashley:

I mean, Irena too, but Hannah because she's like, oh, like me.

Ashley:

What if they don't like me?

Kelsey:

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Ashley:

Because I look this way and then she comes out.

Ashley:

Yeah, doesn't like him.

Ashley:

And it's like.

Nicole:

And Nick is not ugly.

Nicole:

He's cute.

Kelsey:

He's not unattractive.

Ashley:

I.

Nicole:

He doesn't.

Nicole:

He doesn't look like Henry Cavill like he said he does, but.

Kelsey:

Okay.

Kelsey:

He.

Kelsey:

The impression that he was as big as a linebacker and he's not.

Kelsey:

So I think that he actually.

Kelsey:

This is the moment.

Kelsey:

This is the fucking moment.

Kelsey:

This guy deserves to be roasted across.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

Break to cross the coals.

Kelsey:

I actually don't hate him, but fucking Chelsea.

Kelsey:

Chelsea.

Kelsey:

Poor girl perceived, like, death threats.

Kelsey:

Like, I were so awful to her for saying she looked like Megan Fox.

Kelsey:

And this man said he.

Kelsey:

He referenced Travis Kelsey, I'm pretty sure.

Nicole:

Yeah, Travis Kelsey.

Nicole:

And Henry Cavill.

Kelsey:

And Henry Cavill.

Nicole:

Sorry, sir.

Nicole:

Sorry.

Ashley:

Put a side by side up.

Ashley:

Put aside.

Nicole:

If you tell me, Google.

Nicole:

We will.

Nicole:

If you tell me you look like Henry Cavill, my mind goes to the witcher, so you better be a buff fizzled.

Nicole:

The hardest jawline I've ever seen.

Nicole:

Sexy white blonde hair, man.

Nicole:

And if you're anything else, that's it.

Nicole:

It's over.

Nicole:

I don't accept the proposal by.

Kelsey:

Because.

Nicole:

How dare you?

Nicole:

How dare you compare yourself to Henry Cavill.

Nicole:

I'm sorry.

Ashley:

Yeah, he really does look like Henry Cavill.

Nicole:

Travis?

Nicole:

Not even.

Nicole:

No, but it's for man version.

Kelsey:

Listen, if you say the Travis Kelsey thing bothers me because Travis Kelsey is like six five.

Monica:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

I would venture to guess that Nick is like 510.

Monica:

I think he said in the show.

Monica:

He's like 511.

Kelsey:

That's what every 510 five nine ran says.

Ashley:

Okay, but that does annoy me, that.

Ashley:

That she keeps saying they're the same height and when they first meth and she's like, and they're not taller than you and heels on, bitch.

Ashley:

Why does she have heels on?

Ashley:

She wasn't even taller than him with the heels on and was.

Kelsey:

He said that I was like, oh, my gosh, you're so fucking dramatic.

Kelsey:

You have, like, three inch heels on and you're.

Kelsey:

He's still taller than you, so shut.

Ashley:

The percent team Nick.

Ashley:

Even though he.

Kelsey:

Yeah, maybe.

Kelsey:

No, I am too.

Kelsey:

He lied about his looks, but it's fine.

Kelsey:

I just think for justice for Chelsea, he deserves to get a little bit of shit about it.

Nicole:

I agree.

Nicole:

I agree.

Nicole:

I will say he is just like a baby.

Nicole:

He's a baby.

Nicole:

He's still with his parents.

Nicole:

His mom clearly, like, dotes on him.

Nicole:

Like, he's a baby, but he doesn't deserve how gross that she is behaving towards him.

Nicole:

Like, she's.

Kelsey:

The way she talked to him about the pasta.

Nicole:

I'm like, just.

Kelsey:

He's asking.

Kelsey:

He's trying.

Kelsey:

Just tell him to fill the pot half full and move on with your life.

Ashley:

Yes.

Nicole:

This is coming from somebody that is mean.

Nicole:

I am mean.

Nicole:

That is not the kind of mean that you be to your significant other.

Nicole:

She's grown my husband all the time and, well, a nice, playful way.

Nicole:

She is just mean.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

So here's the moment that, like, I switched for her because I didn't mind her in the very, very, very beginning.

Nicole:

Very beginning.

Nicole:

Well, yeah, because of everything that was happening with Leo.

Nicole:

I didn't.

Monica:

I didn't totally mind her, but then there was, like, this moment where you could see that she felt threatened to, like, lose Leo to Britney.

Monica:

And so she's like, I gotta pull nick back in.

Monica:

I'm reinforced.

Ashley:

Yeah, I forgot about that.

Monica:

Because.

Monica:

Yeah, because you, like, you could tell that she felt threatened by that and she just wanted to make it through the end of the show.

Monica:

Like, she just wanted somebody.

Monica:

And so she pulled up her back.

Nicole:

I agree?

Ashley:

Yeah.

Monica:

That was the moment.

Nicole:

Another moment that was gross for me with her was, you know, the moment where they are on the beach and Nick is like, oh, I want to go ride those ducks.

Nicole:

I thought it was funny.

Nicole:

I thought it was funny.

Kelsey:

Well, I will give her a little grace on that, because that lady was a bitch.

Kelsey:

She's like, oh, she's jealous.

Kelsey:

I'm sorry.

Kelsey:

I wouldn't have been jealous, but the second you said that, I would have come across that beach and fucking chopped you in the throat.

Kelsey:

Like, are you serious?

Kelsey:

I think that was.

Nicole:

What was.

Nicole:

What was root, what messed me up was.

Nicole:

Okay, that lady was rude.

Nicole:

Yes.

Nicole:

Okay.

Nicole:

But then later, when she was talking to Marissa about it, she twisted everything.

Nicole:

She was like, that lady.

Nicole:

That lady was like, oh, it looks like your girlfriend's just a jealous little bitch.

Nicole:

She did not say that.

Nicole:

And it's on film.

Nicole:

She did not say that.

Nicole:

She said, oh, she's jealous.

Nicole:

She's so exaggerated.

Nicole:

I'm like, this girl, she just exaggerates everything as much as she hurt.

Kelsey:

Yeah, well, her favorite.

Nicole:

And it's so gross.

Nicole:

It's so gross.

Ashley:

And she was so dramatic.

Ashley:

The duck thing.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

Like, right.

Monica:

The concerns about him, like cerns, but to leave it to where you knew he was going to find it, like, that's just torturous.

Monica:

It's.

Monica:

It's so messed up.

Ashley:

Mm hmm.

Ashley:

The other thing she said that pissed me off was when they were talking about chores and stuff, and she was like, what did she say?

Ashley:

Oh, she said, well, I'm a lot more financially literate than you.

Ashley:

And it's like, wow, there was a better way for you to say that to him.

Ashley:

Yes.

Nicole:

He lives with his parents, but she thinks he's more.

Nicole:

She thinks she is more literate in every sense than him.

Nicole:

She just doesn't think that he brings anything to the table, which is so.

Monica:

Yeah, it's.

Monica:

It's.

Nicole:

I don't know if he does.

Ashley:

Yeah, no, they should not be together.

Nicole:

He deserves opinion else.

Monica:

Okay, so, I mean, like, all of this, obviously, is based on the edits.

Monica:

We don't know them as people.

Monica:

I'm just.

Monica:

That's true.

Monica:

Right.

Monica:

However, the way that those edits are, like, for you guys listening, like, this is actually what I do.

Monica:

I'm a marriage and family therapist, and so I literally, like, I can't turn this part of my brain off.

Monica:

Like, I see all the.

Monica:

All of the red flags, and I want to turn it off.

Monica:

It's hard, freaking hard, because all of that conversation is her.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

All of that conversation is her being in a place of, like, contempt, which really is moral superiority.

Monica:

And she's just talking down to him, making him feel like a little child.

Monica:

Like, how in the world are you going to engage in a relationship where you want, like, your man to be a man and, like, be an equal part in the relationship and contribute when, like, you're talking down to him, like, a child.

Monica:

Like, he has no idea how to take care of himself.

Monica:

Now, granted, he doesn't.

Monica:

His mom does take care of him.

Monica:

However, like, the way you speak to somebody is everything.

Monica:

It's everything.

Monica:

And so she's just sitting there, picking him apart, making him feel like crap, being so critical.

Monica:

And both of those things are pieces that lead to relationships not working.

Monica:

You can't criticize somebody and approach every conversation from a place of moral superiority.

Monica:

It will not work.

Monica:

It will not.

Monica:

I can't stand watching their conversations.

Nicole:

Me either.

Nicole:

Mad when they went to go visit his parents, though, and she put on a completely different personality.

Monica:

Okay.

Nicole:

I was like, you're.

Monica:

Yes.

Monica:

When she showed up with gifts, I was like, who are you?

Ashley:

I was like, she was so sweet to them.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Nicole:

And she even told his mom, like, you know, he doesn't know how to boil pasta and that's okay or whatever.

Nicole:

Like, she was saying, like, oh, it's okay.

Nicole:

Like, we'll learn together.

Nicole:

No, you were just mean to him.

Kelsey:

Yeah, you just learned together.

Kelsey:

Oh, my God.

Nicole:

You are bullying him.

Monica:

So here's the difference, though.

Monica:

Like, it's one thing to be in a relationship with somebody and, like, you're starting out and you realize, like, oh, they don't have these skills yet.

Monica:

Like, let's learn them together versus treating them like a child and, like.

Monica:

Like a little boy and less that.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Monica:

And that's what she did.

Nicole:

Oh, my gosh.

Nicole:

Like, if I hear her.

Nicole:

If I hear her say.

Nicole:

If I hear her say, you're 28 one more time, I will lose my watch.

Nicole:

Like, he knows how old he is.

Nicole:

Stop.

Ashley:

Yeah, stop.

Nicole:

You're 20.

Nicole:

Do I do real.

Nicole:

Oh, my.

Monica:

I do kind of get part of it.

Monica:

Like, what she was explaining to his mom, too, though, of, like, how she had to grow up early, and so she had to, like, learn a lot of these things because I really relate to that.

Monica:

And I remember dating my husband, and, like, when we first started dating, there were definitely some things, like cooking that, like, he didn't cook as much, right.

Monica:

But it was never a.

Monica:

I couldn't boil pasta or I'm not willing to learn.

Monica:

And, like, there's a difference.

Monica:

You know what I mean?

Monica:

But I do understand that of, like, if you've had to grow up so quickly and you've had to go and, like, do all of these things to then kind of experience it with someone else who is clueless can be frustrating, but talk down to them.

Nicole:

Oh, for sure.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

But you could be nice.

Monica:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

That's the thing is you can be.

Ashley:

Like she was when she them.

Nicole:

Right.

Nicole:

Or you could just be like, okay, I understand you actually still live with your parents.

Nicole:

Like, once she found out that he still lived with her parents his age, honestly probably should have went out the window.

Nicole:

Like, I don't want to hear her say, nick, you're 28.

Nicole:

When he literally still lives at home, what do you expect?

Nicole:

Like, what do you expect from somebody that still lives at home?

Nicole:

Come on.

Monica:

But then there's Leo.

Monica:

Leo, Leo, Leo.

Nicole:

And then there's Leo.

Nicole:

Leo is a giant walking ick.

Monica:

The whole other category of his own.

Monica:

He's disgusting.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Nicole:

I don't.

Ashley:

Like, I was shocked that anybody wanted to talk to him, that Hannah or Brittany wanted to talk to him in the pods because everything that they showed, I was like, God, he's so annoying.

Ashley:

He had no qualities to me.

Monica:

Those were both the girls that stood out to me, though, where they wouldn't mind putting up with crap if there was financial security.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Yeah, that's true.

Ashley:

Well, that's pretty said that flat out.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Nicole:

I think if Hannah ended up with Leo, she would not be this spicy and mean to him because she knows that he has money.

Kelsey:

I would have actually agree, like, to have seen that because I think it would have been a completely different.

Monica:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

Scenario.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Monica:

Yes.

Ashley:

I wish that Britney and Leo would have continued in the show because it just would have made for so much good drama because Britney would have been there, and then Hannah could have seen Leo and, like, there, there was just so much more that could have come.

Ashley:

Like, I don't know why.

Ashley:

Feel like there is an ulterior reason that they didn't get to continue on.

Ashley:

Like, there must have been, that was such good drama.

Kelsey:

Well, they would have made more sense.

Monica:

Than what was cut.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Oh, my God.

Nicole:

And the way that Leo was just yelling at Hannah and then, and then just, like, stopped and was like, can you put in a good word for Britney for me?

Nicole:

No, I can't.

Ashley:

Psycho.

Nicole:

Sorry.

Kelsey:

Excuse me.

Ashley:

He was not crazy.

Kelsey:

I did actually respect Hannah for the way she handled that situation.

Nicole:

Yes.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

Because, yes, I agree.

Kelsey:

Because you could have easily been like, yeah, yeah, whatever.

Kelsey:

Sure.

Kelsey:

But she was, like, actually, like, no, first of all, like, just because, I mean, basically, like, just because you apologize doesn't take back, like, what you did.

Kelsey:

And I'm not gonna go, like, clear your name for Britney, like, for real.

Monica:

That was the moment, though, where, like, he finally meets Brittany.

Monica:

Like, you instantly could feel her, like, discomfort and then, like, cuddling on the couch, and she's like, this is the most awkward moment of my life.

Ashley:

It was so uncomfortable.

Ashley:

It was hard to watch, actually.

Monica:

It was.

Monica:

It was so hard to watch.

Monica:

Like, you're just like, can you just stop touching her?

Kelsey:

I think she was hoping if he was hot enough and rich enough that it wouldn't matter, but he wasn't hot enough to make up for.

Ashley:

I wonder if he's even rich.

Ashley:

Does he even have money, really?

Monica:

So I was.

Monica:

I was doing some researching, and there's some debate about his net worth, which I think is kind of funny, where there's they.

Monica:

It's ranging from a net worth of 600,000 to 6 million.

Monica:

But it's very, like, people are very skeptical of how much.

Nicole:

It's big range.

Ashley:

It is a very big fucking range.

Monica:

It's a big, big range.

Monica:

Now, granted, like, $600,000.

Monica:

Like, that's not bad, but, like, that's nothing.

Monica:

6 million.

Kelsey:

You could own a $500,000 house and have it make up half of most of your net worth, though.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

Yeah, exactly.

Monica:

What?

Monica:

He inherited a bunch of stuff, too.

Monica:

So it's like, how much did he actually inherit versus with them, how much.

Kelsey:

Houses cost these days, your net worth seems like.

Nicole:

Right?

Nicole:

My favorite thing about the whole, let.

Kelsey:

Me tell you, my network.

Nicole:

Geez, is everybody trolling him?

Nicole:

I love Netflix trolling him.

Nicole:

I love Walmart trolling him.

Nicole:

I just love.

Monica:

Wait, how is Walmart trolling him?

Nicole:

They have art dealer.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Old watches and they have it.

Nicole:

They called it the art dealer starter pack and shut up.

Monica:

Oh, my gosh.

Monica:

I freaking love that so much.

Kelsey:

I freaking love anybody that talks that much about wanting people to like them for them and not their money.

Monica:

Yes.

Nicole:

He talked.

Kelsey:

Wants you to know they're rich.

Kelsey:

Like, if you really didn't want somebody to like you for your money, this would have been the perfect opportunity to not mention your money at all.

Nicole:

No.

Monica:

Like, if it came up, it's, I'm financially secure.

Kelsey:

He wouldn't even have to say that.

Kelsey:

He could have just said, I'm an art dealer.

Kelsey:

You don't even have to.

Kelsey:

Like, he wouldn't.

Kelsey:

I mean, unless specifically asked.

Kelsey:

He could have just.

Kelsey:

He could have just been like, yeah, I do.

Ashley:

In the dorms, too.

Ashley:

To the guys.

Ashley:

Like, just.

Ashley:

There were so many unnecessarily, like, the joke, I have money.

Ashley:

Rich.

Ashley:

My family's wealthy.

Ashley:

I have money.

Ashley:

It's like.

Nicole:

And, like, he's like, you want to wear the Rolex to everybody.

Nicole:

You want to wear the Rolex.

Monica:

You want to.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Monica:

Take your Rolex.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

As if, like, they will never have another opportunity in their life to see one in person, which maybe.

Ashley:

But, like, seriously, even a net worth of 6 million does not make that man attractive.

Nicole:

No.

Nicole:

No.

Nicole:

I don't think anything can.

Nicole:

I feel like he has some underlying, really scary tendencies.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

My theory is that both him and Steven had very similar approaches is that they wanted to flaunt themselves in very specific ways as much as they could so that after the show, they had people in their DM's that they could continue to connect with, because Steven.

Monica:

Now.

Nicole:

Steven, Steven, Steven.

Nicole:

I don't know if you guys remember, but very early.

Nicole:

Early on, I texted the group chat, and I was like, stephen gives me the ick.

Monica:

Yeah.

Nicole:

It was like, the first time that I saw him, I was like, he gives me the ick.

Nicole:

And then I was like, he's kind of growing on me a little bit.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Nicole:

My intuition was correct.

Nicole:

My intuition was correct.

Nicole:

He is icky.

Kelsey:

Icky.

Ashley:

He's icky.

Ashley:

He's very.

Monica:

There was something off about him to me as well.

Nicole:

And I could from the beginning, place it.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

It came across as, you know, those people.

Kelsey:

There's probably a term for this, but the people that.

Kelsey:

They're so overly fake and nice.

Monica:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

But they're actually, like, really sick and twisted.

Ashley:

Yep.

Kelsey:

That is.

Nicole:

There's something going on in there.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

And they know how to turn it.

Monica:

Like, he acted, like.

Kelsey:

He acted, like, the nicest, and.

Kelsey:

And at some points, it's too much.

Kelsey:

Like, you can see it's like, this is fake.

Kelsey:

Like, you're too way.

Nicole:

You're right.

Monica:

Yes, exactly.

Monica:

As soon as they started having conflict.

Monica:

And his response every single time was, you're right.

Monica:

With explanation.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

There was no explanation of, like, this is where I was coming from.

Monica:

Or, like, I hear you.

Monica:

No, no debate back and forth.

Monica:

It was just like, yeah, you're right.

Monica:

I'm so sorry.

Monica:

You're right.

Kelsey:

I think he thought, I'm gonna get through this.

Kelsey:

I'm gonna come through really liked in this show.

Kelsey:

And then we'll break up at the altar, and it'll all be great.

Kelsey:

Everyone will love me because I was so nice and amicable.

Kelsey:

And I wasn't the problem.

Kelsey:

And then.

Ashley:

Yeah, yeah.

Ashley:

But sometimes his real personality would come out and he'd say weird shit.

Ashley:

Like.

Ashley:

Like when he was talking to.

Ashley:

What's the girl scientist name?

Ashley:

Taylor.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Ashley:

When he was talking to her was.

Nicole:

Like, they're gonna be in my DM's.

Nicole:

Wanna suck my dick?

Nicole:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Weird.

Nicole:

Excuse me.

Ashley:

Yeah, it was like.

Ashley:

And then Monica got up and walked away from him because it was like, yeah.

Ashley:

That's such a strange thing to say right now.

Nicole:

Why are you.

Monica:

Mm hmm.

Monica:

Yeah, props to Monica for, like, calling him out on the moment of, like, you're gonna venmo me right now before you walk away.

Monica:

Like, give me.

Ashley:

Oh, my God.

Monica:

I freaking love that.

Monica:

Although I am, I'm pretty happy that this couple is, like, fading because every time we talk about this freaking show in the DM's or, like, in our group chat, I can't.

Monica:

Every time one of you guys is like, monica's annoying me.

Kelsey:

And I'm like.

Kelsey:

I was like, monica's such a bitch.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

Oops.

Monica:

And I just, like, see it come up.

Nicole:

She's, like, panicked.

Nicole:

What did I do?

Nicole:

Yeah.

Ashley:

She's like, oh, my God, they sent it.

Monica:

They sent it to the wrong chat.

Ashley:

What did I do?

Ashley:

Okay, but there's two girls named Ashley, so.

Monica:

Yeah, but talk about them like this.

Ashley:

I know.

Ashley:

I don't like Monica.

Ashley:

I didn't like her.

Ashley:

I mean, I don't think she deserved what Stephen did to her, but I didn't like her.

Monica:

Like, it doesn't last very long because I immediately know the context.

Monica:

But it's that initial, like, what?

Ashley:

Jump scare.

Kelsey:

I think my problem with a lot, and it probably happens every season, is that I wouldn't.

Kelsey:

I.

Kelsey:

How do you expect to build a relationship talking to, like, not that we're not that I never have disagreements with my husband or we never, like, have the wrong tone.

Kelsey:

But you're in the beginning.

Kelsey:

You're building in the beginning, and you're talking, like, so not just.

Kelsey:

Not just, you know, having a tip, but you're, like, disrespectful, condescending.

Kelsey:

Like, no relationship.

Kelsey:

He's so much condescension.

Kelsey:

Like, that was my problem with Monica and Hannah.

Kelsey:

It's just like, you're constantly condescending.

Monica:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Before the whole weird text messages and, you know, finding out who Steven really was, I was not about her at all.

Nicole:

I was like, he's gonna leave her because she's so fucking mean.

Monica:

Yeah.

Nicole:

He's also crazy, so.

Nicole:

Oh, well, like, she didn't deserve, like, how it went down.

Nicole:

That's for sure.

Nicole:

Nobody deserves that.

Monica:

But, like, it does make me wonder.

Nicole:

This is why you're still single.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Yes.

Monica:

But it does make me wonder because we only get to see what they are editing and what they allow us to see.

Monica:

Right.

Monica:

And so, yeah, sometimes we're seeing, like, these responses for Monica where you're like, oh, my gosh.

Monica:

Like, she sounds so condescending and, like, a bitch.

Monica:

And, like, well, she still does.

Monica:

But, however, we don't always know for sure what prompted that, which I think.

Monica:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

Like, how much did he bait her before she snapped?

Kelsey:

And then he was like, okay.

Kelsey:

Like, he takes it, you know, after he pushed her there.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Monica:

Or, like, her bringing up, like, how he said in the pods that he'd bring her flowers and stuff and that he hasn't done that.

Monica:

Like, I do actually think, like, good for her for holding him accountable to that and to, like, being the person he described himself to be.

Monica:

But it does make me wonder what led to that conversation.

Monica:

Like, what led to her having to say anything.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

But, like, also, too, I was like, bitch, you guys are out of the pods.

Nicole:

Five minutes.

Nicole:

Like, give him a, you know, give him a second.

Nicole:

Maybe he wants to get you flowers.

Ashley:

And then he did take her to that pressed flower thing.

Nicole:

Chill.

Nicole:

Like, whoa.

Monica:

Yeah, that was really cool, by the way.

Nicole:

That was very cool.

Ashley:

It was.

Nicole:

I think that was a good way.

Nicole:

That was a really good way to make up for it, I think.

Nicole:

Like, I feel like if you would have her flowers, she would have been, like.

Ashley:

Would've been, like, flowers.

Nicole:

Yeah, that was a creative way.

Nicole:

So I did.

Nicole:

I thought it was really, really cool.

Nicole:

But, yeah, he turned out to be a snake, so, yeah, it just makes.

Monica:

Me wonder, like, if she had been feeling the red flags that, like, that we see now, if, like, feeling them and was kind of, like, baiting him to see, like, who he was really gonna.

Nicole:

Yeah, maybe that.

Monica:

I think that's always kind of my frustrating thing with, like, reality tv is that we only get to see what the producers allow us to.

Ashley:

To see.

Nicole:

And my.

Monica:

It's definitely not the full.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

My thing with Stephen was I actually thought that, like, he was gonna snap, like, in a mean way, not in this idea.

Nicole:

Like, I thought he was gonna snap and be, like, a dickhead.

Nicole:

But now I have a different assumption on who that's gonna be.

Nicole:

I actually.

Nicole:

I think Garrett is gonna be the one to snap and be an asshole.

Kelsey:

Because I don't think so because love is blind.

Kelsey:

I.

Kelsey:

They just did a really nice post for him on their instagram.

Kelsey:

And I don't think that they.

Nicole:

Well, there was previews at the end of the episode where him and Taylor were arguing.

Nicole:

I don't know what they're arguing about.

Monica:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

I wonder if they just made it look worse than it is because they haven't had any problems.

Ashley:

I imagine him being aggressive.

Ashley:

I don't know, honest.

Nicole:

He is giving.

Nicole:

He's giving up quite a lot for her.

Nicole:

So I don't know.

Nicole:

I think.

Ashley:

I think he's genuine.

Ashley:

I take everything he says is genuine.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Monica:

So.

Monica:

So what are our predictions?

Monica:

Like, who's gonna make it to the altar and Taylor and Garrett?

Kelsey:

I'm never right anymore because I feel like there's so many fake people on this show now that they'll.

Kelsey:

Some of them play along till the very end, and then they're like, nah.

Ashley:

And it's like sometimes they surprise you.

Kelsey:

Like the past few seasons, there's so many fake people that make it on and they play perfect the whole way through, mostly.

Kelsey:

And then they're at the end, they're like, no.

Kelsey:

And they come up with a bogus reason and you're just like, what the fuck?

Monica:

Who do you think is actually going to get married?

Kelsey:

I think Taylor and Garrett.

Nicole:

I still think.

Nicole:

Even though I think Garrett is gonna show some true colors, I still think Taylor and Garrett are going to make it to the altar.

Nicole:

And I think maybe they will get married.

Nicole:

Yeah, I think whatever happens, I think they're gonna work it out.

Nicole:

But I know for sure Tyler and Ashley are not gonna make it.

Monica:

Oh, I was say that they were.

Monica:

They were gonna get.

Ashley:

I think they'll make it.

Nicole:

I think after this sperm donor thing.

Monica:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Should have been honest about that.

Nicole:

But here.

Nicole:

But wait, wait.

Nicole:

There's more to that.

Nicole:

Have you seen any of the posts about Tyler?

Ashley:

No.

Ashley:

No.

Monica:

I have intentionally even trying not dig into too much of the posts.

Nicole:

Okay.

Nicole:

So since I was already caught up, I was not trying to intentionally ignore the post.

Nicole:

He actually is active father.

Ashley:

He really is.

Nicole:

The dad actually is the dad to them.

Nicole:

Yeah, his ex is.

Nicole:

I guess his ex is bisexual and now she's with a woman, but he's still.

Nicole:

There's pictures of him with bait, the babies, all of them on their birthdays.

Nicole:

And like, he's got matching daddy baby.

Kelsey:

So he like sperm don't them, but he didn't.

Kelsey:

Not like in an official sperm don't.

Nicole:

Right.

Nicole:

Okay, so they.

Nicole:

Yeah, they work.

Ashley:

Oh, yeah.

Ashley:

That's a problem.

Nicole:

That is had babies and yeah, he's involved.

Nicole:

So now him and the baby.

Kelsey:

Not necessarily a problem, but it's a problem if you kept it a secret.

Nicole:

Yeah, it's a problem.

Nicole:

He lied.

Nicole:

He lied.

Nicole:

It's gonna be a problem if he lied.

Nicole:

And a lot of.

Nicole:

And, like, people are coming out with receipts.

Nicole:

People are coming out with pictures from his Instagram, Facebook, and his baby.

Kelsey:

Mom, just because they're not talking about it on the show doesn't mean they didn't talk about it at all.

Kelsey:

Or that.

Kelsey:

No.

Kelsey:

It could have been something to each other.

Kelsey:

No, I missed that part.

Monica:

Yes.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Ashley:

That.

Monica:

There's been so many opportunities, and we've talked about having kids, and we've talked about, like, these conversations so much that there were so many opportunities for you to bring this up and for you to be honest.

Kelsey:

My thing is, like, if you were sperm, if you were truly a sperm donor, you.

Kelsey:

I would totally understand not sharing that on the show.

Kelsey:

If you truly donated your sperm and had no connection now.

Nicole:

Right.

Kelsey:

Fact that you maybe donated it to a friend where you are constantly involved in the child's life, that's different.

Nicole:

Okay.

Nicole:

But I think that's how we tried your spin it.

Nicole:

So I think he tried to say, like, oh, she's my friend, and she's a lesbian, and I gave her sperm.

Nicole:

But that's not the actual truth.

Nicole:

They were a couple.

Ashley:

Yeah, that's.

Ashley:

That's.

Monica:

Yeah.

Ashley:

So maybe only Garrett and Taylor then, because I was gonna say them to Tim and Ashley.

Nicole:

Tim.

Nicole:

No, Tim and Alexa.

Nicole:

Alexandra.

Nicole:

Alexis.

Nicole:

Something.

Nicole:

Something.

Monica:

Alex.

Ashley:

What is.

Ashley:

Yeah, they call her Alex.

Nicole:

Yeah, she's an.

Nicole:

Is her name Alexe?

Nicole:

Yeah, it's Alex.

Ashley:

I think her name is.

Ashley:

Okay, I'm looking it up because I was really confused.

Monica:

Mm hmm.

Monica:

I don't think Marissa and Ramses.

Monica:

Well, she's not.

Monica:

I think they'll get to the altar and they say, no, I don't like them.

Nicole:

I don't like that mom.

Kelsey:

Her mom was like, mom.

Monica:

Oh, my.

Kelsey:

Her mom was gonna run him off by herself.

Nicole:

Good.

Ashley:

I don't like.

Ashley:

Sorry, I stopped listening.

Monica:

Marissa's.

Nicole:

Marissa.

Monica:

Marissa's mom.

Kelsey:

I think Tim and Alex could.

Kelsey:

If they could just, like, communicate better.

Kelsey:

I think they.

Kelsey:

I don't.

Nicole:

The thing is, I don't think.

Nicole:

I think Tim's gonna say no to Alex.

Nicole:

I don't think it's.

Ashley:

I think so too.

Ashley:

That was.

Ashley:

I was gonna say that.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Ashley:

I was gonna say that earlier when Monica was saying, the editing is annoying.

Ashley:

I'm so mad at them for not getting the fight between Alex and Tim.

Ashley:

That made them not spend the night together.

Ashley:

And her saying.

Ashley:

She put her hand over his mouth.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

I wonder if I wondered.

Ashley:

Yeah, I think, like, but you would have thought they would have showed part of it.

Ashley:

And even that was, like, after the first party, they were like, some, one of the other couples was like, what was happening with Tim and Alex?

Ashley:

But there was no video.

Kelsey:

I feel like it probably got a little too real.

Kelsey:

Like, heated and, like, almost like, if she put her hand over her mouth, they probably thought, this is, like, borderline.

Kelsey:

We're gonna catch, like, domestic violence shit if we show this.

Kelsey:

So they just blocked it out and tried to make it, like, tried their best to, like, include it enough that there was drama, but not enough that people could, like, speculate on how bad it was.

Ashley:

Yeah, I think he'll say no to her because.

Kelsey:

And I think he kind of hinted at the fact that he tries to avoid confrontation because he knows he gets heated.

Kelsey:

And so he really, so I think the fact that she looked sounds like she really lit him up.

Kelsey:

Like, and he was mad and then.

Ashley:

And, like, the first, like, one of their first times together.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

It's a red flag for me.

Monica:

It's a red flag for me because conflict is supposed to happen.

Monica:

Like, if it doesn't, then that means that somebody's not speaking up, somebody's not sharing their opinion.

Monica:

Like, you're not supposed to get along all the time, but if you're getting to a point where you're yelling, you're putting your hand over somebody else's mouth, like, you're getting flooded and you're, you're not.

Monica:

And, like, to do that after meeting just a couple days before in person is, is a concern, for sure.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

And he had just said, like, I don't argue with people.

Nicole:

Like, I'm not trying to, you know.

Monica:

Well, and, see, I was trying to believe to be the thing.

Monica:

Like, the thing, though, is they talked about that in the pool where he was like, I don't, I don't have fights.

Monica:

And that, I mean, stepping away and calming down and, like, hitting pause on a fight is, is really good.

Monica:

It's really effective.

Monica:

However, he, he talks about it as he's avoidant.

Monica:

Well, he talked about it as though I don't avoid.

Monica:

Have the fight.

Nicole:

Maybe that's how it comes off, but I think he.

Nicole:

I don't want to be.

Nicole:

I don't want to be arguing in any other space.

Nicole:

Like, I think.

Nicole:

I think that's how it was meant, but maybe that's how it came off.

Nicole:

Like, like, he doesn't want to have the confrontation at all.

Nicole:

But I didn't get that.

Nicole:

I, I thought, because I really thought, like, he was saying it, like, we can have the disagreement, that's fine, but if we're going to be screaming at each other, I'm not going to be doing that.

Nicole:

That's how I took it.

Kelsey:

You know, I thought he was trying to kind of insinuate that he knows he can get mean upset.

Kelsey:

Yeah, that's what I said.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

Not mean, but very upset.

Kelsey:

So I think I thought he was trying to say, like, I try to not get that far.

Nicole:

Exactly.

Kelsey:

I don't fight because he knows, like, that's lie for him.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

And she think is a mature, I mean, I think that's a mature.

Kelsey:

I mean, if you know that about yourself, that's good that you can recognize it and, well, because that's the whole.

Monica:

Thing is like, if that's where you go, it's your responsibility to be aware of it, to stop it.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Monica:

It's no one else's.

Nicole:

I think so, but.

Nicole:

And she had said to, like, I used to have a really, like, my anger used to be really bad, blah, blah, blah.

Nicole:

And I think that was a little bit foreshadowing maybe, in the way that they edited it.

Nicole:

But, you know, like, she had already said that she's got quite a bit of a temper.

Nicole:

So I had.

Nicole:

I already had a feeling that that was gonna.

Nicole:

Cause there was gonna be the other thing, too.

Monica:

It's like, we don't know how much they drank at the party either.

Monica:

Right?

Monica:

Like, the show is always notorious for having like, their gold cups, so you never actually know what they're drinking and how much they're drinking.

Monica:

Right.

Monica:

And so who knows?

Monica:

Like, they could have been trashed or she could have been trash.

Kelsey:

Well, if you listen to a lot of the love is blind ogs are starting.

Kelsey:

Their NDAs are up and they're starting to talk.

Monica:

Oh.

Kelsey:

So you really need to get into their seasons because now they're like, they're kind of letting loose.

Kelsey:

And there's one.

Kelsey:

I actually don't think his NDA is probably up yet, but he is a loose cannon.

Kelsey:

Anyways.

Kelsey:

Starts with an S.

Kelsey:

Shane.

Kelsey:

Shane.

Ashley:

Oh, yes.

Kelsey:

Runs his mouth all the time.

Kelsey:

And basically he says, like, that's one of the things he says is like, they just get you sauced up and let you go.

Nicole:

Like, the guy from.

Kelsey:

That's their whole thing is just letting you get drunk and.

Nicole:

Well, hold on, there's another couple.

Nicole:

There's another couple from Shane season.

Nicole:

Nick and I can't remember the girl's name.

Kelsey:

Nick.

Kelsey:

They have a whole damn podcast.

Nicole:

Yes, Daniela, I love them.

Nicole:

First of all, they're so smart.

Kelsey:

Well, they started a whole thing.

Nicole:

I know.

Kelsey:

Trying to love is blind for how badly.

Kelsey:

Yeah, they.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Monica:

Yeah.

Nicole:

And Nick has an entire podcast Nick has an entire podcast about the mistreatment of the entertainment industry and, like, trying to, like, bring it down.

Kelsey:

It's really, actually, really love that they've kind of maintained their friendship, though, even though they broke up, because I want them to get.

Kelsey:

I really like them.

Kelsey:

They just had, like, they had such a toxic edit that I think they didn't really have a chance.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

Because they had to fight the edit.

Kelsey:

But, like, they're both, like, sweet.

Nicole:

I don't think they were a toxic couple at all.

Nicole:

They were just that way.

Kelsey:

They had a toxic edit.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

And she was.

Kelsey:

She was, like, really anxious.

Kelsey:

Anyways, that's a whole thing.

Kelsey:

You have to watch it.

Kelsey:

We've spent this whole episode talking about love is blind.

Kelsey:

I don't know if that was the intention, but that's where we're at.

Ashley:

That's what happened.

Kelsey:

Yeah, I just.

Kelsey:

Yeah, it's fine, except for if no one's watching love is blind, they're not gonna like this episode.

Nicole:

So we apologize in advance, but we don't.

Nicole:

Also don't care.

Nicole:

Watch love is blind.

Ashley:

It's fun.

Nicole:

Just, if you want to be part of the group chat, you have to also watch love is why.

Monica:

I'm sorry.

Nicole:

Seriously.

Monica:

But so do we have any actually solid predictions of who we think is going to get married?

Kelsey:

Just Taylor and.

Kelsey:

I think Taylor and Garrett.

Kelsey:

I don't think anybody else will.

Nicole:

I really don't agree.

Monica:

Unless I don't think that they are.

Kelsey:

I think that some couples might try to make it work afterwards.

Kelsey:

Like, they might say, like, I can't marry you, but I want to stay together.

Kelsey:

But I don't think that anyone else will get married.

Nicole:

I think Taylor and Garrett and I think if Alex and Tim really try to work on their, like, I could see them try.

Kelsey:

I could see them saying yes.

Kelsey:

Even if it doesn't work out.

Nicole:

Yes.

Nicole:

Because she made.

Nicole:

She made a very big deal about him meeting her dad, and I think he was, like, the perfect gentleman.

Ashley:

He was so sweet.

Nicole:

It was.

Nicole:

It was a very sweet moment.

Ashley:

He's the one whose sisters died, right?

Nicole:

Yes.

Ashley:

Yes.

Nicole:

Yes.

Ashley:

And he was so, like.

Nicole:

Yes.

Nicole:

He is a really.

Nicole:

I feel like he's a really, really good person.

Nicole:

Like, through and through.

Nicole:

And I feel like if.

Nicole:

Yeah, they just work on it, that they'll be able to make it work.

Nicole:

Those are the only two couples.

Nicole:

Taylor, Terra, Taylor and Garrett and Tim and Alex, I think, are the only ones that are gonna say yes.

Kelsey:

Marissa and I feel like they're an oddball.

Kelsey:

Like, I feel like they actually could go either way.

Nicole:

I don't.

Ashley:

Like, I don't think they can be together.

Ashley:

I don't think they could stay long term.

Kelsey:

No, I don't think they could.

Kelsey:

I'm not saying they would stay together, but I could see them, like, saying yes, saying yes, they should.

Kelsey:

I don't think they will, but I could see it happening.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Monica:

I think one of them is ultimately going to say no because of the dispute about being in military.

Monica:

And honestly, I think it could be either one of them to say that, like, no, that's just a line that threw me.

Kelsey:

I actually didn't expect that to be such a hard disagreement between the two of them like, that.

Kelsey:

That was kind of shocked that it was such a.

Kelsey:

Like, I mean, it was a line in the sand.

Kelsey:

I didn't expect that.

Ashley:

I can't believe they made it out of the pods.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

I didn't expect it because they talked about a bunch of stuff like that in the pods, and so to get that far without realizing that there is such a firm line in the sand is odd to me.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Ashley:

For him to feel the way he does.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Kelsey:

I'm surprised.

Nicole:

He should have been with Bodhide.

Ashley:

Well, I agree.

Monica:

Mm hmm.

Ashley:

I think she should have.

Monica:

And this next week, they get to meet all of them.

Kelsey:

I.

Kelsey:

It's one of.

Kelsey:

I know it's, like, the point, but it pisses me off when they are all back together.

Kelsey:

Like, I'm.

Kelsey:

Like, you're setting them up for failure.

Kelsey:

It's like, this is.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Monica:

Oh, my God.

Monica:

Like, in my mind, it kind of, like, ruins the experiment, because we know that they've had connections with other people who they haven't seen, too.

Monica:

And now suddenly, they get to see them after having such a short amount of time to actually be with their fiance.

Monica:

So it's like, you haven't had a chance to really build that stability and trust of, like, no, this is for sure who I want.

Monica:

So even though that person's there, that's attractive.

Monica:

Like, I'm.

Kelsey:

I think it kind of breaks the whole love is blind thing because.

Nicole:

Exactly.

Monica:

Exactly.

Kelsey:

You're.

Kelsey:

You're literally just.

Kelsey:

Yeah, no, yeah.

Monica:

It takes, like, we're making this experiment, and then we're crapping on it.

Monica:

To, like, test you to see if you really can.

Kelsey:

They're being tested too quickly.

Kelsey:

Like, I know it's.

Kelsey:

You only have so much time, but if it was truly, like, an authentic experiment, I think later on down the road, after they've been able, like you said, to build some trust, I think that they could pass this test also.

Kelsey:

In the real world, if you were to run into these people, you probably wouldn't be sauced up, drunk as could be baited into these situations.

Kelsey:

If you truly ran into them there, you can say all you want, like, oh, it's like real life.

Kelsey:

You could run into these people, but you probably wouldn't run into them where you're literally, like, baited into having a.

Ashley:

Well, they sit them down, too.

Monica:

Yeah.

Ashley:

They make.

Ashley:

Tightens it down and talk about, like, what could have been basically.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

And still in, like, the heightened emotions of, like, am I making the right decision?

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Monica:

Nicole, you look like you have things that you were, like, holding in.

Nicole:

So there was.

Nicole:

There was a preview of Nick, and I don't even know who this girl was because we didn't even get to see any of her edit, but apparently she was somebody that he was talking to in the pods, and they had, like, this connection, and she's like, wow.

Nicole:

Apparently love isn't blind because he was, like, really into her, I guess, is what they're making it look like.

Nicole:

I don't know.

Monica:

Oh, yes.

Monica:

I did see that preview for it.

Monica:

Yeah.

Monica:

I think that that's part of why I also don't like the edits of this season is that unless they made it out of the pods, you didn't get to see them really talk to anybody else.

Monica:

And so I feel like that's kind of part of the journey, is, like, watching them eliminate other people and, like, see them with other people who, like, they don't quite click with.

Monica:

And they didn't do that, like, at all.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Nicole:

I'm curious if Taylor and Garrett had any other matches because they made it seem from their edit that they didn't have anybody else, that they really even clicked with, that well, like, they.

Nicole:

They made it seem like they were ones, like, from the get go.

Nicole:

So I'm curious to see if they did have any other, even if it was a small connection.

Nicole:

I'm just very curious to see how, like, their time and the pods went, because I didn't see Taylor with, like, anybody else, and I don't remember seeing Garrett with anybody else either.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Here's what I'm most bothered by about the whole thing is Netflix not releasing the full fucking season and doing this, what, like, a couple episodes a week thing.

Kelsey:

Like, I think all these streaming platforms started to do it because people were just binging and, like, yeah, I think it's.

Ashley:

I want to do.

Kelsey:

I think.

Kelsey:

I know, but I think that for a while, everyone was like, a new season of something would drop, and people would just binge for, like, two days straight.

Kelsey:

And I think they just collectively, like, some sort of.

Kelsey:

Something was like.

Kelsey:

I think they were worried about the health of our nation, honestly.

Kelsey:

And they were like.

Monica:

They don't care about us.

Kelsey:

No, no.

Kelsey:

I've read stuff about it.

Kelsey:

I do mean, it's.

Ashley:

Kelsey, it's.

Kelsey:

No, no, I'm not saying that it's not.

Kelsey:

But to some strategy, I think they.

Kelsey:

There.

Kelsey:

People were re signing also.

Kelsey:

They were resigning up and then canceling when they.

Kelsey:

This way, they ensure you keep your shit.

Kelsey:

But I think as a whole.

Monica:

So I think that their theory is that they drop it and then know that you're binging and being, like, just, like, rotting on the couch.

Monica:

And I don't want to do anything else, so I'm gonna watch other stuff.

Monica:

And then the next weekend, you're like, well, I'm gonna rot again, so let's do this again.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Ashley:

They're building the anticipation, and I don't know.

Kelsey:

It makes me get off when I, like, only get a couple episodes.

Kelsey:

Then I'm like, I'm fucking done with this app.

Kelsey:

Goodbye.

Ashley:

Yeah, it's dumb.

Kelsey:

I was more likely to stick around when I could binge the whole season.

Monica:

But I think that's their theory, is that if you're gonna, like.

Monica:

It's the same idea of, like, when a company gives you, like, 15% off this, but then you're like, but I'm already here, so let me, like, add 15 other things to my cart.

Monica:

I think it's, like, the same thing.

Nicole:

Well, okay, so we've already discussed how I have a problem with the books, right?

Nicole:

So I also have the same problem with the tv shows.

Nicole:

When they dropped those last three episodes, I had them finished before you bitches on the west coast even woke up.

Nicole:

I was fucking in it.

Nicole:

I was texting the group chat, and Ashley's like, ma'am, it is 530.

Nicole:

And I was like, actually at 745.

Nicole:

What are you talking about?

Ashley:

That is usually how I am already episodes in.

Ashley:

What are you doing?

Nicole:

Well, because when I watched it, I had caught up by Tuesday night.

Nicole:

So Wednesday morning, I was ready to fucking go, and I wasn't wasting any time.

Nicole:

It's like, I need to know.

Nicole:

I need to know what's happening.

Ashley:

Okay, so you're also bothered by having to wait another week for these freaking episodes to come out.

Kelsey:

I don't.

Ashley:

And then another week.

Ashley:

And then another week.

Ashley:

I don't think you're finished until the end of October.

Nicole:

Yeah, it's really annoying.

Nicole:

So I looked.

Nicole:

I know.

Nicole:

I think only two episodes come out this Wednesday, and then the next one, which is the reunion, I think doesn't come out till the 21st.

Kelsey:

Like, I feel like they.

Kelsey:

The editing on this.

Kelsey:

No, I want them all.

Monica:

Yeah, it feels very nice.

Nicole:

It feels weird if it's like, yeah, they're losing their grip a little bit, I think.

Kelsey:

Yeah.

Monica:

Mm hmm.

Nicole:

Like, I think they're having a hard time keeping people engaged, so they're just, like, grasping at straws.

Ashley:

They're desperate.

Kelsey:

I don't know.

Nicole:

Yeah.

Ashley:

Because the first season did so well.

Ashley:

It was.

Ashley:

I watched the first season when it came out, and we were like, oh, yeah, we watched it, and we're, like, wanted more so bad.

Ashley:

And then have been so excited about every season.

Ashley:

But, yeah, like, some of the editing on this one is not as exciting.

Ashley:

Then you have all these people who got famous from the show once.

Kelsey:

Once.

Kelsey:

The show really was like, the longer the show goes, the more people just go on for the fame of it.

Kelsey:

So that's why I think it was so successful the first couple seasons.

Kelsey:

It was still so new that.

Kelsey:

That people truly were there for the right reasons.

Kelsey:

And now it's just they know they're gonna be famous when it's over.

Monica:

People always gotta ruin a good thing.

Ashley:

They really do.

Nicole:

Yep, yep, yep.

Nicole:

Okay.

Nicole:

On that note, I think we've been yapping enough about this wind.

Monica:

Thanks for listening to us chat this week.

Ashley:

Other than group chat.

Ashley:

Yeah.

Nicole:

Other than our books, our book club, this is what we've been doing.

Nicole:

Yes.

Monica:

And we are truly a little bit bothered by some of these people.

Ashley:

A little.

Ashley:

We're a little bit bothered by a lot of things.

Ashley:

On love is supply.

Nicole:

It's very bothersome, truly.

Ashley:

All right, well, I guess that's gonna be a wrap for this week's episode of a little bit bothered.

Monica:

If you stuck around this long, congrats.

Monica:

You're officially one of us.

Kelsey:

Nicole:

The more stars, the less bothered we'll be.

Nicole:

Maybe.

Nicole:

Until next time, stay bothered, bitches.

Monica:

Bye.

Kelsey:

Welcome to the inner sanctum of friendship.

Nicole:

These bitches are a little bit bothered.
